My fiance' went to SOS in Hanoi and said that they do medical exams for K-3 visas. However, we are not sure if they will do the medical exams for K-1 visas. I ask b/c it's a real pain for my fiance to go to HCMC just for the medical interview. Your help would be appreciated.

K1 and K3 are the same with regard to Medical and Vaccinations requirements. If med center limited to just K3 business will drop off because K3 is being closed by NVC before it even goes to consulate.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

I dont believe it... We were told we had to make numerous trips to HCMC since the medical had to be done at either IOM or Cho Ray...

it would suck to have it done there and go to the interview to be told come back when you get a medical done...

The Police Cert can be completed in Hanoi, but I have not heard of Medical being done up north. I don't know they have a Medical Visa Unit.

Hang had to go to ChoRay both times but lucky for us..she worked in Saigon during that time.

Good luck with the logistics and hope it works out for you...
