Please forgive me. I'm completely confused by an email (and text) i received just now from USCIS-CaseStatus@dhs.gov.

I'll post the complete email message below. I thought the i129f process (in California Service Center) required around 147 days. The text and email appear to indicate the case is already approved. They only sent the NOA1 on Feb 2. Could they really have already approved it in just 15 days? If not, then what does this email indicate as the status of the case? Sorry for the question. I wasn't expecting any news from them for another 4.5 months.

Even on the USCIS website, when I enter my number, my case is listed as:

"Post Decision Activity"

What does this mean? Are they already sending me the NOA2?

Thanks for any assistance and knowledge regarding this.

Does the NOA2 get sent automatically to the NVC (Manila?) I'm way behind the research curve. I thought I'd have 5 months to prepare for the next step.

NOA2 is a notice of action. It's sent only to you. Your case file will pass through NVC on its way to Manila.

First, congrats on the swift journey. You are REALLY lucky!

Your petition will be in Portsmouth, NH in just a couple of days. It will then be forwarded to Manila and when it has been forwarded you will get a letter from the NVC telling you. BUT you can get a head start by reading this thread: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/293624-after-noa2-detailed-summary/

Jessa paid her visa fee Friday morning, Manila time. When I woke up this morning I went online and scheduled her interview. It will be on March 23, that was the first opening they had :(

Yep, everything will get sent to Manila. She will be assigned a case number beginning with MNL in a few weeks. Once you have the case number she can schedule her physical at Saint Lukes and assemble all the documents she needs. Then she can schedule the inteview at the Embassy. You guys haven't been together long, so gather all the "proof of relationsip" stuff that you can.

I submitted mine in January last year. My wife, (then fiancee), came to the states in July, and we had a three week delay. This was bacause at the interview the Embassy wanted an additional NBI clearance for a misspelling on her birth certificate.

After the case number was assigned my wife got a packet by courier from the Embassy detailing everything she would need.

Best of luck

Dave

When you say really easy & really fast... what makes a case easy & fast at this stage? I know that there are differences once you get to the embassy/consulate stage... but at I-129F stage, it seems to me that 99% of them are easy & fast... nothing to them.
