Going to Iran!

OK, so my Fiance' is in Iran...and I want to go and see him for their New Years. Of course all heck has to break lose recently in Bahrain and the protests in Iran and I was just curious...Should I be worried and concerned? Should I change my plans?? I need advice from anyone who just came back, who is going anyone!! I don't know what to do and I don't want to disappoint him either!

WOW....I have Iranian friends and Iran is a beautiful country...but you couldn't pay me to go there right now.

You would need a visa to visit Iran and not sure how easy it would be to get one.

I am part IRanian so I have my passport...Visa is no problem...I am just trying to decide to go or stay...lol

Actually I wanted to tell you about it when we were writing about going to Iran that my mom and my sister keep telling me no to go home for the Persian New Year but I didn't tell you because I believe they are too much worried because several friends of mine are already gone there now and they are planning to come back after New Year holidays! They told me that they are having so much fun and they just stay away from riots and troubles, you know what I mean?!

As I remember your fiance lives in Shiraz! May be Shiraz is not having so many movements as Tehran. The best person who can tell you if it would be safe to go or not is your fiance! Ask him about Shiraz situation(and let me know also )

I went there 3 times in last 2 years, 2 times during demonstration with no problem, if u keep your distance u will be OK,

Well, I think I am going to keep an eye on what is happening there and then make my decision. I have the tickets already paid for so there isn't much to salvage in cost....Hopefully people will start to calm down with the New years coming up!!!
