For your category (spouses and children of LPRs), it is 1st jan 2006 for Mexico, 1st Jan 2007 for everywhere else except China, Philipines, India and Dominican Republic:

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

Your case is not so clear. Let me try to wrap it up!

So what you are saying is that you have a friend from Mexico, whose PD is July 2007, and this friend of yours has been scheduled for interview in Mexico in the near future. Also you have checked current PD´s in the March Visa Bulletin and it does not match up…. Right?

What category is your friend in?

When is the interview scheduled for?

hey hi Rick!!..correctly...

1..the visa bulletin do not match with PD(currenty VB for mexico in this category is January 2006)

2..F2A

3..my friend have the interview the next month (PD is July 2007)

he will have the interview but he will not be approved. It has happened to many people in different categories. the review that paperwork and if the officer finds everything ok he/she will tell your friend that the paperwork is fine, just like many people.

but then his visa cannot be approved due to that the priority date isn't current and that he/she will have to wait until the the PD becomes current.

That's what has happened to people caught in the middle, where their PD was current last year, and now it isn't.

You're absolutely right ... but it is illogical to be giving interviews and not have visas available ... illogical!!!
