Hi Everyone,

I have just received my NOA2, and I am trying to get all the documents together for the I-134. Do the taxes for 2010 need to be complete or would a W2 be enough?

Thanks

Send a copy of a complete tax return including the W2 and everything you would if you were filing the return.

You need 1040 and W-2 or a tax transcript. If you look around there is a GREAT post about what to do now-- maybe even from the guy who posted above me. I'll go look and try to email you.

This is misleading. Most "complete tax returns" consist of more than a 1040 and W2 forms. Complete tax return or tax return transcript.

Yes, but if they are in an immigration process with an affidavit of support coming up, they would wise to do so ASAP. Bringing a loved one from abroad is a life changing, priority changing event. To treat it that way is wise.

Technically the most recent tax return is 2009 until April 18 when the 2010 are due. But I strongly agree with Pax that they need to get on with the filing and get 2010 done. By now they should have everything required to fill out their forms. There's a page talking about the I-134 and description of a COMPLETE tax return in my UK K1 tips. See the link in my signature.
