about to fill out this form and I was reading number 11 and the example. But there was no cross in the "intend" "do not intend" boxes. Do I just leave that part blank and only put in N/A in the explanation area or what should I do? I have the same reasoning as the example did.

thanx in advance.

Hope I have made some sense in all this rattling on

i don't know if there is a right or wrong answer for this one. i've read various suggestions. i'm probably going to put "Do intend" " all expenses and support as needed"

I looked this up the correct box to check is do not intend. Reason: Enter "N/A" This is only for visitors that are truly temporary, such as tourists. The lines below you will indicate I-192F Fiance petition.

Reason since she is eventually an immigrant and intend to marry support will be indefinite.

Explination is out of the NOLO book for Fiance visas.

I checked with the American Embassy in Amman Jordan about this same question and this was their reply:

Regarding block # 11 on the I-134 form, the suitable answer for your case is N/A with no other clarifications since she is going to live in the United States .

GOOD LUCK I HOPE THIS HELPS :yes::thumbs:

my advise was based on what i was told by someone who has helped prepare numerous petitions for the Embassy in Manila. the I-134 is used mainly to see if you meet the income requirements. when you AOS with an I-864, that one is binding.

I concur.

The I-134 was often used for those travelling to the US on a temporary basis, hence why that particular question when support was required to be shown for the temporary stay in the US. It is now often used in K visa nonimmigrant cases....the difference being that K visas are processed in much the same way as an immigrant visa as those entering on a K visa will be seeking immigrant status. The I-134 is also not legally binding. By the fact that an I-864 will be required when adjusting status, answering N/A (K1 visa process) for question 11 of the I-134 is acceptable.
