Sorry, just venting

For most of us, we will only go through this process ONCE and it's a joyous occasion. I feel as if those who are approved should not have to cover their joy. We should celebrate in their happiness, if you chose to of course. However, I am not going to feel pigeon holed into not sharing my joy. "#######" is with that. Not smearing those who are waiting, but this is a community of folks with a similar and common goal. We are personally not to blame for how screwed up this process is... PERIOD!!! So whether it's venting, joyous, or whatever... let freedom ring, as long as it's not gloating and putting others down.

I agree in part. But, humbleness is a practice clearly lacking in this country.

When I was approved, I was happy to be one step closer to the love of my life. That unto itself was enough.

You know Uling, Vartan spilled the beans on my/our approval. I would have chosen to be quiet about it. Because, I am humbled by the others.

Public forum, so we do as we wish.. Simple as that.

I guess CSC isnt that much bad. What I believe that in past they must have come across with many fake cases. Since they are covering mostly applicants from United States of Mexico and other latin countries. So they just be extra careful. Only my opinion i guess

gugu, if that's the case, why not move some of their workload to VSC? It's not like there's no precedent for moving cases. It's just a cop out. They use enough excuses as it is.

...the fast approvals aren't irritating me. It's the lack of progress made at the CSC and the 20 posts I see daily about quick approvals at VSC.

Exactly. It's the inequal treatment that gives me inequal moods.

I do think we should all continue to post our approval dates as this assists in each other having some sort of reference point at guesstimating how much longer we're knocking on doors, and I think this can be done eloquently and helpfully. I think it's very important to find productive ways to support each other and while finding healthy outlets for ourselves.

As in:

"Daniel and I were approved today, on August 31, NOA1 on March 9 2006." (tomorrow...... always tomorrow..)

Rather than:

"HAHAHAHA YAY HOLY TAMALE WE GOT APPROVED TODAAAYYY IN 12 JUST DAYS YAY! YIPPEE!!!!!!!!!"

This is a forum, after all, not realtime: We are able to edit what we type, so "I was excited" isn't really a fair argument for using language, like the above, that may seem obnoxious to those going on 100+ days and the second Merlot of the night. Generally you are going to get lots of congratulations, regardless of how you phrase your approval, and that should be your source of communal satisfaction rather than tempting the others with carrots. Let's keep it clean, not vain, peeps.

The good folks who are approved had nothing to do with the expeditiousness of their petition and should not feel as if they have to cater to those who have not been approved. PERIOD! They have done nothing wrong. Like I stated earlier, as long as they don’t gloat and put others down, it’s all good. If they choose to share, great, I want to celebrate and congratulate with all of you. For some, this will be an extremely memorable experience, but for others, a freakin nightmare that seems to never end. Who knows... My case may go straight to hell but I'm not going to be pissed at the next couple like the Grinch who stole Christmas. I really feel for all of you that are suffering. It’s torture. Hell, I’ve got it good and I’m still bothered. So, I can’t imagine what you all are going through, but I SWEAR that I feel for you. I’m pulling for you!

...We should celebrate in their happiness, if you chose to of course. However, I am not going to feel pigeon holed into not sharing my joy. "#######" is with that. Not smearing those who are waiting... We [They] are personally not to blame for how screwed up this process is...

Frustration does come easy. But then I remember, or actually it's usually my better 1/2 that reminds me . . . everything in its time. Another reason to be thankful - she has faith when I seem to misplace mine. Like when our app was at the nsc, and just when their posted processing date was approaching the date of our app, the whole thing gets shipped off to Cal. No explanation, nothing. And there it sits. It also seems to me that certain countries are processed ahead of others, the Philippines not exactly being in the front of the line. But really, it's misplaced frustration to direct it at anyone fortunate enough to be done with this mess, however soon. This is probably going to sound stupid and cliche', but I really believe that when you find yourself in a situation where you can't do what you want, then figure out what it is that you can do, and do that. Evelyn and I spend a lot of time together talking - on the phone, instant messaging with video, we txt msg back and forth everyday, send emails to her at work. We probably talk on average 10-12 hours a week. That's probably more than most couples talk who live together. And, no, it's not the same as in person. But it's something, and in some ways it's easier to communicate. I make it a point that no matter what is happening in my life, I take a trip to Phils every few months to be with her. I'm using this time to fix up the house, get my financial affairs in order, etc. When she's not working, she uses the time to spend with family and friends that she knows she will soon be leaving behind. I remember telling her once that we will one day look back on this time, and what we went through for each other, and we will only love each other that much more because of it. It's not easy, and it does get frustrating, but she knows whatever it takes, I will wait her forever. And she feels absolutely the same towards me. That's priceless. And October 1st we will celebrate one year of this madness!!!

I feel the need to vent as well. It is very frustrating. We filed at the end of April with TSC and were transferred to CSC. We have three children (a four year old and twin nine year olds - one of which is autistic). I lived in Ireland with my fiance until December at which time my father was diagnosed with liver disease. I did not know how long he had, so we made a decision that it was time to go home. We wanted to do all the paperwork while living in Ireland as a family, but plans change... I wish I could be humble, but I am the one that has to drop my fiance at the airport and listen to the children cry. It is not right. Where is the equality? I cannot even look to the light at the end of the tunnel because I haven't a clue how bloody long the tunnel is.
