Sorry, just venting

Right now I'm learning about stressors and the effects they can have on the body. We've learned about G.A.S. (General Adaptation Stress) and how if it builds up, it can lead up to physiological distress. To this end, I thought I'd do some venting so I don't start getting headaches and ####### like that.

Now, I realize that I'm just under two months wait time since my NOA1, but I just have to vent a little. While I'm happy that some people continue to get their petition approvals from the VSC under 30 days, do we need a frickin' thread about it? Seriously, have some respect for those that have been waiting for five months and still have nothing. You've waited less than 30 days and you act like it's an achievement. It's not that I'm trying to belittle your happiness, but think about how the other side may feel for a second before you post your "OMGzOrz, IT'S A MIRACLE, APPROVED IN UNDER 30 DAYS...I NEVER THOUGHT THIS WOULD COME!!!2111" threads.

ALSO, DID I PAY 170 PESOS WHEN I SENT IN MY PAYMENT? That's what it feels like. We ALL pay the same amount but VSC actually affords their petitioners with answers and actual results. Didn't we all pay the same amount? Someone mentioned discrimination and that's what this is...it's a case of geographical discrimination. It's sh1tty, that's what it is.

Again, please apologize for my comments...I just felt like I needed to vent. I really do feel a little bit better now.

Great post mrc. Say what you mean and mean what you say. I'm now at the six month mark and, you are right, it really does get under your skin a little bit when you read about someone who was approved in 30 days or so. I, too, wish them well and a fast process. Maybe, in their excitement they don't realize how it effects those who have been checking USCIS 395 times a day for the last six months. :clock:

I'm on my 7th month mark and I have no problem with people posting their own threads about their approvals.

I am happy to see someone get approved... so they can continue their lives. I dont have the misery loves company mentality.

I am not frustrated at the people, I am frustrated at USCIS.

mrc - It's OK! Vent away... PLEASE!!! Honestly, I see this as therapy. I'm fortunate to have found VJ. I'd probably be locked up in a little white padded room if I did not have an outlet. LOL! The extremely quick petition approvals from VSC are the way the process should be, in my opinion. Not to offend those still waiting and holding on... Honestly, I really wish all of your receive your NOA2 because I want to celebrate with you. I am the last to complain because I have benefited from the IMBRA compliance. I say vent vent vent and continue to search for ways to take action in order to advance your situation. There is nothing natural about being separated from your loved one. I don’t know about any of you, but life for me does not begin until my Baby is here with me. Cheers!!!

mrc,

Could not agree more. Others have stated: don't shoot the messenger.

Well, I find it insensitive to those who continue to wait over 100 days and well beyond!!!

I waited 150 days and never posted an "approval notice". Why? Because I sympathize with so many that have or will ultimately wait much longer than me.

Being supportive on this board is not boasting about your 7 or 14 day approval. I congratulate them because they are happy; I would not take that away from them. But, they really should just update their timeline with the NOA-2 and be quiet about it.

A little sensitivity to those who are fcuking dying over 6-7-8 month wait times is essential. I am here for them..

It's OK to Vent. No apologies needed. It just seems unfair that all the service centers are not at the same pace and depending on where you live in the US you get screwed with the service center that handles that state zone.

We filed in March and due to our own faults we are still in the running, going on 6 months HALF A YEAR PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am happy for all the approvals, because when we get an approval you better bless your lucky stars I will be posting it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So here's to you and your time line, that you get the approval quick with no snags and you too will be approved soon!

I'm glad people can use this forum for advice as well as to vent; however (and no, I'm not angry - just looking at things differently) from someone who is hoping to get approved at VSC in weeks not months, I fear that it will be awkward posting my own approval happiness when I know that there are those out there who are secretly (and not so secretly) saying "#######!!!" everytime someone gets approved before them.

I've said it before and I'll say it again - VJ is amazing. The amount of information here is astounding and I do not know what I would have done if a member (Vartan, I believe) had not pointed it out. And for that, I'll happily take the positive and negative (and crazy) offered here.

I think that you definately earn the right to post your approval if you have paid your dues to this website (i.e. tried to help others, posted your timelines etc.) How long it takes should not matter, though sensitivity should always play a factor.

Look at is this way.. if you filed earlier .. then you got ENGAGED first. At least you knew before any of us late VSC filers that your realationship was forever.

Just my two cents.

You can't help being pissed off when you see those folks being approved in 30 days or less, but it seems that one of many good reasons for this site existig, is so others can compare timelines with one another, and hopefully be able to see that even though their petitiion hasn't been touched/approved, other petitions are, meaning that at least something is being done.

I see people asking or telling what is going on and if they have been touched or approved every day....I for one think it's a good thing....

It just sucks, because it's hard to explain to Susie how the process works. She asked me the other day if there was anything new about the petition and I told her no...I'm sure I'd have something had I lived in New York or somewhere else. I was really hoping Susie would be here by Xmas, because it's about six to eight weeks for her interview in Korea once they have the paperwork, but it's looking like that's not going to happen.

I sincerely feel for those that have waited an extraordinary amount of time just to have their petitions approved...and once they are, they will have to wait for the interview. All the while, others continue to get approved, interviewed and visa in hand in less time than it takes for a mere approval. That's not misery loving company...that's just a poor public service.

I'm not saying people can't be happy for a quick approval...I'm just saying, out of respect for others not so fortunate, perhaps just update your timeline instead of making separate threads about each one.

For most of us, we will only go through this process ONCE and it's a joyous occasion. I feel as if those who are approved should not have to cover their joy. We should celebrate in their happiness, if you chose to of course. However, I am not going to feel pigeon holed into not sharing my joy. "#######" is with that. Not smearing those who are waiting, but this is a community of folks with a similar and common goal. We are personally not to blame for how screwed up this process is... PERIOD!!! So whether it's venting, joyous, or whatever... let freedom ring, as long as it's not gloating and putting others down.

I'm at CSC, Yes the extremely fast approvals at VSC irratate me but I think of this as clear proof of how the USCIS should be running. I would hope that the attitude between CSC & VSC would be; See CSC, what your counterpart VSC can do!!!! Why can't you??? VSC fast processing is PURE Proof that this process can work!!!! CSC should take note!!!

Well, like I said before...the fast approvals aren't irritating me. It's the lack of progress made at the CSC and the 20 posts I see daily about quick approvals at VSC. I'm just suggesting perhaps they should be tempered considering how long others have been waiting.
