Hi,

is anyone here will go to Philippines this month? which airline sites did you go?

Does anyone knows if you'll have a trouble if you'll book your ticket the day before you leave?

For international flights you can book and pay for your ticket up to 1 hour prior to departure although you would have to do it at the airport. Otherwise you can book and pay online even a few hours prior to departure without issue.

Book your ticket as early as possible, because it usually becomes more expensive the closer you get to the date of flight.

Delta serves Manila or you can book through an online reservations site for United which will connect to Manila through Hong Kong with Cathay Pacific.

Make sure you create a frequent flier account BEFORE you book your ticket so you can earn miles if you plan on taking future trips. I'm going in March and my flight to Hong Kong is free!

I know someone going soon, they booked via Orbitz, via korean air, round trip ticket was $1,250 , about the cheapest ticket yet that I have seen as of lately.

Use http://www.hipmunk.com/ , it will probably jump you to orbitz or priceline

Go to the website of Philippine Airline and book directly on their website. They have nonstop flights from LA, San Fransisco, and Honolulu for around $1000.

Yeah, problem is that the $300+ fuel surcharge and taxes take it up to about $1400 on PAL.

Is KAL the best deal out there right now?

No, PAL is still the best deal. Most flights are 700-800 before the fuel surcharge and taxes. The total is still 1000-1100 for most days within a month from now. And to top it off they are NONSTOP from LAX to MNL.

Check Cathay Pacific it's cheaper around $875 I think if you book early. I agree about signing up for miles. I am just starting to accumulate mileage, but with my husband's miles my ticket to Manila is free round trip with Delta.

Here's a pretty good site if you're not to into miles accumulation. Still it will give you a very competitive all inclusive price for the flight/time requested. Trip Advisor Pretty good site to start with at least as it compares most of the big sites in one. Good luck!!
