American fiancee's documents needed for Vancouver interview?

Hello post-K1 and cleverer-than-me folks.

Rather than paying $2 a minute for this information, I thought it would be more straightforward and productive to ask y'all fellows in the boat.

My American fiancee did not make copies of all the (original) personal documents he sent in with the K1 that were tedious to obtain, as we realize now that we should have had him do. (I'm not sure exactly what they were as we are each more familiar with our side of the process than the other, but judging by mine I'm thinking income tax records, work stubs, birth certs, etc) After about 6 months we are still waiting for our NOA2 (oh IMBRA), and I would like to know to speed up the second half of the process: will we require these (his) for the interview date, or any other date? If so, we'll get right on reaquiration. (edit: we will be applying for our interview at the Vancouver consulate.)

Oh, and while we're all here: copies of my personal documents are all definitely kosher, yes? (it's so hard to part with things like birth certificates....)

Thanks tons! You've all been so incredibly helpful so far... you have no idea. Well, hopefully now you do. (F)

One more thing, if I may: The passports are required only to be brought into the embassy to the interview, not mailed to them or anybody else, right? The notion of mailing my passport kind of makes me want to throw up. They can't expect anybody to do that. (Additionally, Daniel and I were hoping to spend a little time at his place in St Paul prior to the interview, and then to go straight from St Paul to the interview in Vancouver together, and then to move my things from Calgary on the way back to the States.... so I would pretty much need my passport for that process.)

What is the Of-167?

Can it be downloaded off the net?

I can't find it anywhere.

It's just a simple form .. the USC fills it out ( takes about 2 min total ) It doesn't need to be notarized . It comes in package 3 .. but you can email vancouver consulate and ask for it .. They sent it to me as an attatchment but it was messed up @ the bottom .. So when it came in package 3 i faxed it to my fiance so he could send it back to me along with the I-134 stuff.

good luck :star:

Yes you just bring passport(s) with you on the day of the interview:thumbs: All that you send Vancouver before the interview is DS-230 part 1 and the Checklist .. The rest you bring with you to the interview.

Cheers ;)
