K1 Visa $350 Fee Payment

Hi, I recently received a letter (packet 4) from the Montreal US Consulate in regards to a sending them a number of forms (DS156, DS156K, DS230, DS160 etc) to review prior to my medical exam and interview. While the letter does NOT advise that I have to pay the $350 USD visa fee, the website (canada.usvisa-info.com) that the letter directs me to to set up my DHL location advises that I have to pay the fee by the time I submit my DS160 form.

The issue is that when I log into the site I cannot find the webpage to actually pay for the visa. I see the fee payment options on the left menu but unable to follow the directions as the MRV link is no where to be found.

I have tried calling in to pay but they ask for my credit card information prior to asking my for any identification (ex - case number, passport number etc) so I'm reluctant to go this route as it doesn't seem to connect my case number with the payment.

I have tried calling to speak to a US Visa phone rep and she wasn't sure of the process as she only dealt with non-immigrant visas. She seemed to think that I didn't need to since it didn't explicitly specify in the original letter from the Consulate that I have to pay now.

Any advise is GREATLY appreciated!

I bypassed the payment when I booked my interview. I will pay the $350. at the interview. You just need to set up the DHL location before you send your packet 3 back. Then when you get your packet 4 letter you go back to that page and book your interview. Don't pay now!
