omg- i love it! the uk forum is way more exciting than RUB. however, i would like to say that my BY man is super tall, slim (no secret desires intended), wears the latest fashion, has exotic eyes, ripped abs, tussled hair that i love to pull, an accent to die for, and the lips of an angel. and of course, i didn't meet him on the internet.

Funny thing is, I really don't care about that and if I HAD met Alla on the internet, I would say so.

I consider internet meeting certainly as legitmate as any other and I would PREFER it over saying I met my wife at some club where she was trolling for ...nm.

Fair enough question. It isn't like you meet Ukrainian or Russian women on every street corner in America. But people travel a lot more now. A European vacation 30-40 years ago was for rich people only. Now, I can buy a ticket to Kiev for about the price of going to LA or Seattle, maybe less.

But, yes, Brad and I have been called on that a couple times. Though neither one of us has ever made an issue of people that meet on the internet (I think it is great we can!) Most of the people on VJ that had failed "first marriages" met their ex's in ways other than the internet, so what does that say?

I will own I'm totally, 100%, MOB legit. Head to toe legit. I'm fat, bald, old, (but not rich, darn it) sex-driven, and exploited the internet to find my prize. Outward beauty was very high on my list of wifely priorities. I did not pursue her for her shining intellect or radiant personality, discovered during some chance meeting. Rather, I liked the way she looked in a low cut dress. My wife did not study sub-atomic physics...she studied the accordion. Yes, all I need is to find a monkey and silver cup, and the big bucks will start rolling in.

Be it known...I did not stumble onto my wife at a meeting or bus stop. I hunted her like a wolf hunts a sheep. I was a MOB prehistoric predator operating solely from my lower reptilian brain. An online velociraptor. Shameless in my pursuit of a Russian Barbie Doll.

I'm a J-1 visa girl, and there are thousands of students from FSU and all kinds of Eastern European countries in MD, NJ, SC etc. every summer. So I just have no idea, why it's still some kind of unreal situation for some people, that we didn't meet online.

I mean... I don't mind it that people meet each other online. Who am I to judge after all? I'm just not one of those people, I don't understand why is that so hard to believe in. And I wouldn't mind people asking that question, if they didn't ask over and over and over again.

OK, I will own up to the fact I had already decided that I was not going to marry anything BUT a Ukrainian woman and I was hunting them also, but not on the internet. Alla was like when you sit in a tree stand all day, see nothing but spike bucks and then when you are walking home just as the sun sets, there is this huge buck just standing broadside in the dirt road! Not where a hot Ukrainian woman belongs at all! But hey, it is what it is.

And it is just as easy to fall in love with a HOT woman.

I have to admit I thought about trying the J-1 visa thing via "Au Pair". The problem though was that I had to prove I had kids in order to get an au pair. I was going to barrow a few of my brothers kids but the INS asked for birth certificates.
