What a surprise, for many reasons. 1.5 months after doing biometrics we were still waiting for the EAD. Almost a month after biometrics we got a letter from USCIS, I thought for sure that it would be the EAD but all it said was that the case had been transferred to Laguna Niguel CA. Now today, valentines day, we checked the mail after our date and there was--not the EAD, but a permanent resident card. No interview, no email, no EAD, and no Advanced parole, just the green card. This is not what I expected at all! I checked the case status on the USCIS website a couple of days ago and it still said "under review."
