Although I agree that CSC shouldn't become a "complaints department" (and that they'd never get anything done), I don't think it is at all right that there is NO way to contact them. Having no working email, having an address you can mail to but they won't read, and an 800# that is known for giving out wrong or misguided info, well it just ticks me off.

I'm on a role with these csc graphics, it is very therapeutic for me today.

You don't call or e-mail anyone at USCIS - it's not worth the time spent on doing it. They won't tell you anything different from what you get online and they'll give you canned responses. Sorry. Contact your congressmen/senators instead and ask them for an inquiry on your behalf.

That´s not quite right. We have called the service # right after we received our second RFE and for the first time since all the calling we did before to find out about the status of our petition and the one email we wrote and what was nothing but wasted time too, we had a very nice and helpful lady on the line.

well, we didn´t call to ask when we will get approved. instead we have called to ask some questions regarding the papers that still was requested.

so if you call because of problems with a RFE or any other questions about your case except of asking them when you will get approved finally it can be helpful.

just an experience we made.

I am not sure I agree... There are *certain* topics on the 800# that can trigger connection to the Service Center, and an RFE is one of them.

if you read the Instructions on How to Get Through to a Service Center (PDF) created by USCIS, it shows RFE as something you can get help on;

Also:

PR who doesn’t have PR card yet

Case approved but didn’t receive post approval docs in 30 days

I-129 approved but POE or Consulate not listed on petition

Pending case where companion cases are separated

Pending I-129 where changes to petition (add/remove beneficiaries) are needed

My beef is that those are not the ONLY problems that need Service Center contact. It's nice they allow you to get straight through for those problems, but there are more problems that arise besides just wanting to know if your approval is coming.

BTW, that 800 instruction sheet is so handy to have in front of you when punching the numbers.... ;)

Oh, this is good stuff! Thanks for sharing. It's entirely possible the OP was talking to the CSR about a subject that he wasn't suppose to be talking about and that is why the CSR hung up. But it's never acceptable for them to be rude of course. Nevertheless, this pdf file explains pretty well the situation I think.

well I was going to look for a graphic to fit this topic but noway can i beat "married my love" on that one !! lol that's perfect. we first emailed our congressman then followed with a call to see if they recieved it. luckily his rep ( or whatever she is) is a very prompt woman and has been very sincere. She has made calls for us and written a letter. They are behind us 100% Wish our attorney was as productive. She even follows up on us with emails if she hasnt heard from in awhile to see how its going! :thumbs: cheers to her! as for the people at USCIS they are obviously in the wrong line of work if they can't deal with the petitioners. The first time we went to Embassy to file we got a 3rd degree interview right there and man was very rude and insulting to me and my fiance. He treated us like dirt. his questions were very demeaning. he then sent our case to Korea's center to be investigated cause he felt our relationship was fishy. now here we are still together for 3 years with one baby and another on the way. BITE ME NOW A$$WIPE! how's that for fishy?!
