I talked to Fred Wahl personally. I don't think I would advise this. He wants a easy case and to make money off you... Fred is like this: He will work on your emotions to get your Credit Card Payment and give you bad information. He is legally required to tell you he is NOTHING but a Matchmaker. I would AVOID this Route.

Yes, what happened the first time?

The first interview was bad, her English was poor, she missed some questions, translation was poor,

answers were twisted by translation, also there is an age difference she is 26, and i am 48, both of us do not consider it a problem or even a thought of difficulty, as well as both of our families. There is love and support by both our families. The second interview she sat for over 4 hours and then, was handed the bad sheet and was told told the interview was over, just like that. However I think that the biggest snag was an unprofessional package put together by myself. For this reason I was considering Fred Wahl, it was cheaper than any lawyer and offered a professional package. I thought it was a way to address any and all red flags with front loading, explaining all red flags up front. I can feel blame and disappointment for my self, and also i took it very personal when they had the balls to say the word - sham -, and trying to go around immigration laws,,,,,how by filling out every paper, form and giving what ever was asked of me, jumping in each and every hoop offered??? Do they say the same to someone who illegally crosses a river to come to the USA. Now I know the results might had been bad from the day of the week to what color outfit she had on. I just want her beside me more than anything in the world. However long it takes, Both she and I are in love and committed.[MAI MAI],,,, Thanks for your advice. VJ is a great forum and a relief to know other people have common experiences and problems. Sorry if I vented too much.

ps I talked on the phone to Fred Wahl for 1 hour and 14 min, he gave more attention time and answers than lawyers who charge over double plus his price. if it is bad results then I can use the expensive lawyer,

Also I have the help of my brothers acquaintance Congressman Walter Jones.

A congressman would not be any more helpful than any other person that understands the process at HCMC.

What service is Fred Wahl offering? What experience does he have with successful petitions through HCMC? And more to what you need, what is his success rate with 2nd petitions at HCMC? Make sure you do some homework before spending money with anyone.

Most of this process is simply completing form and organizing information. There is a lot of discussion here in the Vietnam regional forum about package preparation. And with a second petition for the same person the bar is raised. You may want to consider marrying your SO and then pursuing a spouse visa.

Do some reading and make an informed decision. Paying someone a lower price doesn't mean you are getting a deal. It may be just poor service for less $$.

Share your first package and the resulting denial sheet with the group and let other VJ members weigh in. You will get a lot of varied opinions. Use that collective input to craft your submission.

Best of luck.

What letters are you asking about? The letters of intent should be included with the petition.

Also you should include a timeline of your relationship. If your fiancee/spouse has any relatives int he US you ought to include that info as well with your initial package.

Scan them in and post (in the Vietnam forum) in a new thread. Be sure to block out any personal data (case number, etc.)

AS far as what you submitted in the past just give a listing of what you submitted. A scan of the blue slip and denial may be helpful.

Until the last post, this thread was 2+ years old. Closing zombie thread.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).
