I told them I had a boyfriend in Indiana and I got accused of immigrating to the USA that very day. I was interrogated, fingerprinted, frisked, picture taken, denied entry....treated like a criminal. Then for 6 months every single time I crossed I had to have go into secondary, provide every single tie to Canada, like current bank statements, letters from employer, pay stubs, lease agreement..you name it. WHAT A HASSLE!!!! They said I could be permanently banned..all because I was honest and told them about my boyfriend. I have been married since last April and have crossed with no problem, however they have no idea i'm married to an American as they just never asked.. :) I live in Windsor too BTW.

So my policy is.."if the don't ask, I'm not telling"...it's almost over for us on our journey, good luck with yours.
