Has anyone ever had to PAY to attend a job fair?

It's stuff like this that makes people think 'green' is a scam.

For job seekers in Northern California ...the Green Jobs & Entrepreneurship Fair ... is organized by the Green Jobs Network, a project of Green Economy Media in the Sustainable Enterprise Cluster at the David Brower Center in Berkeley, where the event takes place from 1:30-5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 16.

Some 20 green-job related companies and organizations will be on hand to meet with and share insights with participants. The event, organizers said, “is designed to provide information, resources, and networking for job seekers and entrepreneurs interested in environmental or social responsibility.”

Advance tickets to the event ... are sold out, but according to the organizers some will be made available at the door on a first-come, first-serve basis beginning at 1:30 p.m. Cost is $30.
