I realize that their are other similar topics on this forum but I am still unsure as to how to go about doing this...

I will be working on a J1 visa at a summer camp this summer, and wish to change to a H-2B visa in September. My September employer will be filing an 1-129 to obtain my H-2B visa approval notice. If i wasn't already on a J1 visa status I would usually take this letter to the embassy in London to get my H2-B Visa.

However, given I will be on a J1 visa, and in the USA do I simply file a 1-539 form along with this approval notice to change my status over?

Any help would be appreciated.
