he made 42,000 in 2007

made 45,000 in 2008

in 2009 he made only 33,000 because his kid had health issues so he didnt work but they did not have to pay any hospital bills...they have a really good insurance...

when calculating the household size of my co-sponsor do i have to include my fiance or just the 3 of them sister in law...kid and my brother? its not a problem i can ask my fiance to add the kid too with a pencil if they ask he can tell them he wasnt sure how to fill it out

I don't actually know the answer to your original question, but I would say that if the income was enough without the child, but isn't enough with the child, it is going to be a much bigger deal, not only because it would look like someone did it on purpose, but more importantly, because it would now require a co-sponsor that wasn't provided.

Joint (co) sponsor's household size is 4: Joint sponsor + spouse + child + person being sponsored.

The current income is what matters, not 2009 unless the joint sponsor is self-employed.
