Probably a former USCIS worker getting the last jab in at ya,lol They love their extra paperwork, lol

But don't you love how every bit of immigration paperwork has a blurb about some "Paperwork Reduction Act" at the end? Always makes me shake my head.

If you never hear from me again, you'll know I've been strangled by red tape!

I shipped my stuff after I POE'd and I didn't have to fill out the country of manufacture for anything. I was looking at the 3299 customs form and I don't see where it is asking for counrty of manufacture?? I just did like everyone else; numbered the boxes and made a list of contents. This actually helped me a lot when it came to unpacking since it was almost 5 months from the time I packed and stored it until the time it shipped.

Thats because you crossed WITH your items, if you don't then you have a lot more ####### to fill out and do.

We used U-Pak for my husband's stuff. He didn't put specifics on the list. His list was like:

Box 1 - personal clothing

box 2 - Personal music cd's and books

box 3 - personal papers

3 year old dresser

3 year old mattress & box spring

Stuff like that. He didn't put any thing else on his list. The box was in Texas almost before we were.
