I got an email today from USCIS VSC that they approved our petition. It looks like Vermont is back up to their speed after the IMBRA problem. I am glad that we were lucky to have waited untill after the new IMBRA I-129F form came out.

Every one still waiting it will happen!

:dance: We were approved also, but it took a bit longer. Congrats, and best wishes to all for further speedy approvals.

Congratulations.

Perhaps your application was one of those drawn up for intern training (according to the process elaborated by one VJ member in another thread) and....voila!!!!.... your application is approved. I prefer crying faces to a sick-like comment. Its not okay to rob anybody of the joy they feel especially when they had absolutely nothing to do with delays elsewhere..........and yes i would express the same remarks if by any stroke of luck i was waiting at CSC. Perhaps in that case, i simply would refuse to log on and reduce anyone`s moment of joy.

Anyway luckily there are people that just cannot be affected by any snide comments as long as they have a clear conscience....

So...........Go VSC..............do your thang!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congratulations on a speedy approval! May the rest of the journey be just as quick and painless for you both.

January 2004: Met Laurent at the Bibliothèque nationale in Paris

February 2004: We became an actual couple

January 29th, 2006: I left France to return to the United States--AWFUL to say goodbye!

June 2006: Finally convinced Laurent that a K-1 visa would be more time-effective than trying to get an H-1

August 1st, 2006: The K-1 petition is finally in the mail and on its way to Nebraska...WooHoooo!! And yes, I remembered to attach the check! :-)

August 3rd, 2006: USPS online tracking shows that my petition (sent certified) was received at the NSC at 5:05am

August 14th, 2006: NOA1 received USPS!! (I-129F recv'd at CSC: 8/4; NOA date: 8/10; last touched: 8/11)

October 2nd, 2006: I MISTAKENLY thought we had an approval...False alarm...Back to waiting...

October 3rd, 2006: TOUCHED!!

October 4th, 2006: REALLY AND TRULY APPROVED!!! Email notification lists 10/3 as the NOA2 date.

Later that same day: TOUCHED...AGAIN! Hope that means I'm in a cozy box and moving to NVC this week...

October 10th, 2006: Received official NOA2 via snail mail.

October 19th, 2006: Case received at NVC!! AWESOME!!

October 20th, 2006: Case forwarded to Paris!! DHL says two shipments were headed that way. Must be in there somewhere...

October 27th, 2006: Received official receipt letter from NVC via USPS.

Oh don't get righteous just because you happen to be in VSC jurisdiction. This is plain and simple discrimination due to geographic location of petitioner; it has NOTHING to do with luck. It's DOCUMENTED and systematic. It's not a one time event. It happens like clockwork. Of course CSC filers have a right to complain. I paid the same $170 as this VSC filer, why should his application get approved before mine just because he happens to live in VSC territory and I happen to live in CSC territory?

There's NO justification what so ever. NONE!

We of the CSC territory should simply "not log on" so as not to spoil VSC filers joy? Well how about the VSC filers not rubbing it in the face of the CSC filers?

I would NOT have made this post had your post not been so obnoxious and insensitive towards CSC filers.

It's not the VSC filers who get approval in 30 days who needs your congratulations, it's the CSC filers who have to wait 120+ days to get their approval who needs your compassoin and understanding. They are the ones who are completely justifed in their frustrations and anger over this plain as day discrimination of VSC over CSC filers.

Good sportsmanship is one thing. When it's patented discrimination and plain as day, there's no need to stand around kow towing like second citizens. The CSC filers are in their full right complain--and complain loudly--about this discrimiation in service.

You don't get to sit in front of the bus while I stand in the back and tell me to stand back there quietly and accept this discrimination like a gentleman. NO! I won't tolerate that! I'll be vocal about this outrage!

Congrats to the approvals out there and may everyone else soon follow. me of all people understand the agony of a long wait whether its before or after an approval but best wishes to everyone in this journey. may we all get to our destinations with our sanity intact.

I-130 petition in DCFR Tokyo: March 14th 2004. Case reffered to DHS USCIS

Four visits to japan in 2004: Oct 2004, wife got pragnant.

Wife/Fiance left USA and moved into Japan: Feb 5th 2005.

Baby Born: June 24th 2005(Japan)

I-130 denied: July 17 2005(Divorce was declared not valid)

Refiling Divorce: oJuly 17th 2005 NY State.

Divorce granted: Nov 17th 2005

K-1 application: Mar 1st 2006

Approval: May 23rd 2006
