WOW! This is good news that some of you have NOA2 already!! I requested an expedite for an emergency medical situation but if for some insane reason they don't grant it, atleast its nice to know there's not much longer to wait for this step....hopefully :hehe: Thanks for doing the spreadsheet, I added us today.

"On May 17, 2011, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION ....."

Aww lucky you congratulations ;) Hope the rest of the process is just as smooth!!

And congratulations to all other Feb Filers who has gotten approval too!

The rest of us who hasn't let's continue on our wait lol :dance:

I call NVC today and try to get the NVC case number. But the operator told me to wait 10-15 business days.

Also I was signed up for emails, did not receive anything.

One more journey with I-130 for my 3 month old daughter

11/23/2011 ~ NOA1 email received

12/02/2011 ~ NOA1 hard copy received in the mail in Ukraine

12/02/2011 ~ I made Expedite Request via the phone.

I-130 Approved in 14 Days!!!

12/19/2011 ~ Duplicate Approval Notice

12/24/2011 ~ NOA2 hard copy received in the mail in USA

Isn't it strange how some get approval in 3 mos and others wait 6 mos or more? What exactly are they doing in these "background checks"...??

John_trucker - I read that some people keeps calling NVC until they get their case no :hehe: Maybe being persistent helps or maybe not unless you don't mind the wait? :D

I wonder about these myself - background checks don't usually take that long do they? I thought if you come from a country with less fraud or something it'll be faster but maybe some just get luckier in the wait than others :crying: I'm happy for those who gets approved fast BUT sad for the rest of us that has to go thru the torture of these long wait :crying:

I'm feb filler also, we got our NOA1 on Feb 16th, i see that some of you already got approval! which i find awesome! I hope they're gonna keep doing this speedy thing process! So that we can join our love one sooonnnnn!! Keep the faith! :thumbs:

NVC: (28 days)
07/18/2011 - NVC Received and got NVC case#.
07/18/2011 - Send my Naturalization Certificate via mail and email for upgrading my case from F2A to CR1.
07/19/2011 - Gave both emails to NVC and received IIN#
07/21/2011 - Got confirmation email about changing my petition from F2A to CR1. Up-gradation took 4 business days.
07/29/2011 - AOS Fee Bill Received & Paid Online.
07/29/2011 - DS-3032 Email sent to NVC from beneficiary.
08/01/2011 - AOS package invoice shows "PAID" and Package mailed to NVC.

Filed Feb 10, three months to NOA 2 (May 10); NVC case number on May 20 - Received request for fees today May 25 - Paid today $88 and $404. Now wait for doc list and processing of fees.

Congrats apeks! Are petitions for Canadians processed faster by trend? Given the fact they Canada borders the US, wonder if it makes background checks faster or something..
