Well.. February or March filer I did get the NOA 1 email today :)

Not too bad so far.. Mailed Monday morning, Arrived in Chicago at 4pm Tuesday, NOA 1 email and text Friday at 1:00pm.

I wish the whole process cruised along at that speed ;)

I mailed it 25 of feb and haven't heard anything, getting really frustrated! my husband didnt get tracking, and i put the E form in the middle of the pack- so I don't even know if they have got it!! We got a money order- but i know they wont have cashed that yet anyway.

Sorry you are having to wait.. Probably right in line and in the process but you won't know it until you get the hard copy which from what I have been reading looks like it always takes a couple of weeks.

Maybe you should check if they cashed it.. I checked my bank account today and the check cleared on 3/4..

I filed Feb 10th and just received NOA1

Hi there uzo..

Did you send it express mail to the Chicago drop box? You mentioned you just received the NOA1 was it via email? Snail mail?

FYI my fellow filers.... We here in Vermont are due to get 12-20 inches of snow tonight. This potentially will mean no activity at the Vermont Service Center.

NVC:

05/24/11 - received case number, IIN, and beneficiary ID number from operator, gave email addresses, sent in optin email

05/26/11 - AOS bill invoiced and paid, submitted DS-261

05/31/11 - AOS bill appears as PAID, emailed I-864 package

07/22/11 - IV bill invoiced and paid

07/26/11 - IV bill appears as PAID, submitted DS-260, emailed supporting documents

08/03/11 - SIF (Sign In Fail)

08/10/11 - CC (received case complete)

08/16/11 - interview date assigned (received interview package by email on xx/xx)

Medical / US Consulate / POE:

09/23/11 - medical at Medisys... PASSED

09/29/11 - interview

xx/xx/11 - visa received

xx/xx/11 - POE

We personally filed the Form 130 at the US Embassy here in Manila last Feb 22, 2011. Up to now we haven't received any e-notification or NOA from them. I also noticed on the spreadsheet (thank you for that, by the way :) ) that those who applied in the Philippines during Feb have yet to receive an NOA. I'm just wondering why. :| But I'm glad to have found a thread with Feb Filers like me. :)

Feb 22, 2011 - DCF Form I-130 at the US Embassy in Manila.
Mar 14, 2011 - Will call the Embassy Call Center to inquire about the form's status
Mar 21, 2011 - Informed via email, Form I-130 approved
Mar 24, 2011 - Received official NOA
Mar 31, 2011 - Received Packet 3
Apr 05, 2011 - Submitted Packet 3 directly to Embassy
Apr 06, 2011 - Will call to ask for interview schedule
Apr 19, 2011 - Received Interview Request
Apr 28, 2011 - New Passport/Schedule Interview

I found out that we're under the DCF category (after much digging around and stuff...). Is it true that DCF filers will not go through the NVC or is this wishful thinking? :blink:

DCF procedures/process totally different than filing to the lockbox address in Chicago.

Suggest you study the DCF guide, find the IV unit webpage for Manila/US Embassy, and tell yer USCitizen Spouse to contact the IV unit about 1 month after filing date, asking for casefile status. Don't expect anything more than an approval notice, as well.

Hi Darnell! Thanks for the info. We filed the I-130 at Window 35 but we didn't know that's classified DCF :wacko: and assumed we're doing the application that requires NVC approval as well. It's funny because I found out after I posted my Feb 2011 introduction :rofl: Anyway, regarding the DCF guidelines, I contacted but cannot reach the 2224 ext. anymore and the lady operator said they're not allowed to connect to any of those windows. Hubby and I will go there tomorrow and see what's up since it's been 3 weeks now. :yes:

when do you guys think it's best to start gathering documents for the NVC stage? I am only one month into the process but I am so impatient, I want to have everything ready! but the police certificate from Paraguay is only valid for 6 months and getting it now would be way too soon I think.
