I know this has been talked about before, and it is probably a bad idea.

But has anyone tried getting a B-2 visitor visa while waiting on the I-130?

My wife has a british visa, so we are going to meet in london to see eachother in march. I want to try to set up an appoitment at the US embassy in London to get her a B-2 visa. Maybe we can get lucky and get it.

anyone have any comments on this?

I'm pretty sure her company has to sponsor her for a B visa, and you're talking big fees.

More "positioning" from our elected representatives so the DEMS can blame the REPS (and vis-versa) for causing the shutdown. When, and if, it comes to that, Congress will pass emergency legislation to extend the deadline. BUT, just in case the unthinkable happens, you're right; get as much done as we can!!

Mace, the following is the basic format I used in emailing Mr. Badger:

  1. Place your WAC # in the subject of the email.

  2. Begin you email with a standard salutation.

  3. In one sentence explain why you are writing. Include in this portion your full name and your spouse's full name.

  4. In about a paragraph describe your situation- stick to facts, try not to editorialize it.

  5. Now in 2 or 3 sentences mention that you are concerned because ___________________________.

  6. End email with "Sincerely"

Best of luck bro.

Cheers

HI ..IM SORRY TO TELD YOU, BUT YOU CAN NOT GET A VISA B-1 B-2 BECAUSE THAT VISA IS FOR PEOPLE WHO WANTS TO VISIT THE COUNTRY, IF YOU APPLY FOR THIS VISA , THE PROCESS FOR THE GREEN CARD CAN BE DELAY , IS BETTER IF YOU GUYS STAY CALM AND WAIT FOR THE END OF THE PROCESS.
