You need an affidavit. The way I interpreted their requirement was (financial statments) OR (joint ownership of property) OR (comingling or residence) OR (affidavits of support) AND photos/letters etc. Meaning, for newlyweds you have no choice but to send affidavits from people who were at your wedding ceremony. There are example affidavits floating around this forum somewhere.

I just received the RFE in the mail today and they want me to submit evidence to establish the marriage is bona fide. I am furious!!!!! I sent 2 dozen pictures from several different cities with me and my wife. I send cell phone bills showing all the phone calls between us. I sent my marriage certificate. What else do they need??? I am not living with my wife helloooo!! How am I suppose to have the following?

*Documentation showing joint ownership or property

*A lease showing joint tenancy of a common residence

*Birth certificate of children born

*Affidavit sworn to by 3rd parties

*Any other relevant documentation to establish that there is an ongoing marital relationship

Maybe you should print out all the Forum history here...it shows dated conversations throughout your journey. Maybe take out the "I Hate Officer # XM 1117" before you send it though! Ja ja! Good luck,,,, I know this can potentially happen to me as well.

Um, wow. It's really ridiculous that they want proof when you're not even living together. All my husband and I sent were a few pictures, plane tickets, and of course the marriage certificate. Absolutely ridiculous RFE.

I don't know what to suggest for you besides the affidavits. I'd send more phone bills if you have any, and other records if you have of your communication (IM, Skype, texts, etc). This might help to show your marriage is still on-going. If you have any more recent pictures since you sent in the I-130... I really don't know what else you can send...

oh yeah I forgot I had sent the plane tickets too from maybe 5-6 trips either my wife visiting me or me visiting her,,, I am thinking of filing tax papers with her name on it and maybe add her to my cheking out,,, wow this cought me off guard,, I wasn't expecting this

The tax returns would be a good idea as well as adding her to your checking account. Hopefully that and your affidavits will appease the officers.

I 've got the exact same RFE and exact same officer, Officer#XM 1117. I sent credit cards has both of our names on them,from US banks and Turkish banks,pictures,phone bills.

OK guys.....I am really in happy tears and freaking out.......WE JUST GOT OUR NVC CASE NUMBER....aggghhhhhhhhh ok...trying to calm....I am here with my hubby and we are out of our minds with relief and happiness. Would like to ask if IIN is only for EP only, or even for us who's country not qualified for EP will be needing IIN?

Also once you have NVC number, can you call NVC right after and give your email add and get IIN? and can you email the DS3032 without instructions?

Once you have IIN even no instructions from NVC can you pay the AOS and IV bill once its already generated?

Am sorry for the questions, my cousin's friend got their NVC number last night and when they tried to get the IIN the operator told them they cant have it because they are not qualified for EP coz their from Philippines. SO because of what happened they don't want to call again at NVC and email the DS3032 thinking that it may cause another delay to them. And the NVc emailed them to wait for 6-8 weeks for instructions, arrrrgggghhh

Me myself still waiting for my NVC number so i can't answer them. thanks

Do you have any idea when Val & gary received an email that their approved papers where shipped?

Coz mine were shipped last Feb 16, don;t know when to call for the NVC number

That's what a lot of us here got from Ms Angela, and then after a few days the USCIS website changed showing approval.

Hope you get your approval anytime from now.
