Electronic processing is relatively new and NVC is testing it out with only a few select consulates. Soon, way after all of us are done, NVC wants EP to be the norm and available for every country. But I'm sure that will be a few years from now.

2nd RFE, this time my daughter's petition, and guess what they don't claim for the passport but for a TRANSLATED birth certificate. In Europe we have multilingual official documents, and it's exactly what we submitted, they are askeing for an english version of something which is already in English

People I've never, never seen such a nonsense.

Do you imagine me going to see a translator and tell him to translate something from English to English????

Congrats to all of you for your approvals. I haven't been on in a few days, since coming on tends to worry or depress me. I got in an argument with my husband over Valentines Day we are just both so bitter we are not together. We tried to make it a good day in the end. I just wanna let you guys know I have been in a long distance relationship with my husband for 4 years, and since we got married April will mark 1 year that I have not seen him.

My NOA 1 is July 29th, and my congresswoman said I should receive a notice by Feb 22nd...I am really hoping. Please pray for me, since I am feeling so down. I can only wait so long for my husband....I am out of energy at this point and beyond angry at USCIS.

I especially want to congragulate Sqdgns, bcuz he really needed to see his son and wife.

Fully understand you!!! I am myself 5 years in long distance relationships and have not seen my wife in person since 9/2009. Feels like really bad test for the relationships.

That is so crazy! I really hope nothing is wrong and that you can get it all sorted out soon. It's just so ridiculous though... and I may be missing something about the situation, but why do you even need to send a birth certificate at this point?! Anyway, good luck, and I hope you get through this all quickly. It's insane.

That is pure nonsense. I really hope they get their act together with this absurdity, and then make up to you with all the troubles they have been giving you by giving your NOA2 pronto!

You're not alone... you're in the company of other good people whose lives have also been placed on hold- just like I tell my wife, any day now, we'll either be approved or get an RFE- either way, we'll be another day closer to being together

For those August filers who got recently approved (especially for an Indian spouse) - Did you contact USCIS through email or did the approval come randomly? I haven't emailed anyone so far, just waiting.

I'm wondering why mine is taking longer since I got my NOA1 in the first week of August.

I haven't received my NOA2 either, so your case is definitely not unique... all we can do at this point is give it some time. I'm sure we'll here something in the next few days, as evidenced by the activity that's been happening lately
