Very well stated.... and I concur. I contacted her last week and she replied after a couple of days.... then promised to have an answer for me today..... and... voila, she did. Please don't badger this woman... she has been our only "saving grace" in this process.

Hey all, just thought I'd share my thoughts on repeatedly emailing Ms. Barrows.

When it comes to sending multiple emails in the span of 5 business days, I think it's a bad idea. Also, the weekend should not be counted when determining how long it's been since she's received your email, regardless of whether we think she's working or not, that's simple business etiquette.

I, like most of you, feel like we've paid for a service, thereby we're, for the lack of a better word, entitled to a result within a defined period of time.

We're fortunate that Wade (I believe) was able to procure Ms. Barrows' email address for us. With that email address in hand, we ought to be judicious about how we utilize it.

There is a difference between sending a single introductory email, versus electronically badgering someone. Some people deserve to be badgered, others don't.

In my opinion, the fact that Ms. Barrows has, for the most part, been very receptive to our messages, should warrant some type of hesitation on our part before we send her several "reminders." Also taking into consideration the "tone" one may employ in an email, there really is a gray transitional area that separates a single "please help me" email to an irritating "it's me again, for the Xth time in your inbox, did you forget me already?!" email.

Just my 2 cents for all of us to consider :)

Hang in there... once you submit whatever it is they want it shouldn't be much more of a wait :)

As a side-note, this is precisely the reason I wasn't all for turning this thread into a new NVC thread. This whole process had been traumatic enough, no need to subject people still waiting or with RFEs through conversations about the next level... Just my opinion :)

you're absulutely right.I am happy for them but I feel like left behind. They all deserved, went thru a lot.Maybe I stay away a while.I saw the message right after I left work and coulnd't hardly wait to come home and read the message on my laptop.. RFE...It's not a good feeling!

Congrats to all of the approvals. i was hoping for transfer news for Val and Gary and Wade and all of us really...

I want an NVC number, do u think its at all possible that the case has been sent? It seems that it takes about 5-7 business days to receive that email after your official approval.. in most cases anyway.

all the best

The suggestion was actually to merge the 2 threads, not to convert this to a new NVC one. With good intentions, and not to make it more traumatic, it was suggested and even mentioned- to possibly help each other out better since its hard to cope up.

It was also mentioned that your point was well taken, considering that some are still truly waiting. Guess it's really better to leave it this way.
