I'm still here alive and kicking....

Val and Gary...I will say a prayer that all goes well, I'm sure things will go great and you guys will be together in no time!

Saylin! You left me here in Canada!! lol. How are you??? How does it feel to be on the other side of this process?

I got 2 RFEs within the past few months. I finally got this email a little while ago..

Thank God no more RFEs, I would of just had a breakdown. Does this email mean an SIF will follow soon?

I just want this to be over with. October (the month I plan to move) is so far away, yet I know it will come fast with all the things I have to do take care of before leaving, including our son's American Consular Report of Birth Abroad papers, that we still have yet to do (long story as to why it hasn't been done yet).

I wish everyone the best, it has definitely been a journey!

Haha, sorry for leaving you in Canada :P I'm doing good! It's nice to finally be back in the USA! Got my green card last week, just waiting on my SSN now which I had to apply for in person on Friday.

And the email you got means CC! Most people get the SIF first. Are you checking on the right site? https://ceac.state.gov/CTRAC/Invoice/signon.aspx If you don't get SIF, it's not a big deal. The CC email is what counts ;) Plus, the AVR should update to reflect a CC as well.

Either in a few days or a few weeks, you'll find out your interview date. Good luck!

Haha, glad I was of help! Yeah, for those doing online forms, there's two sites to log onto and the one you were logging on to won't give a SIF. They probably let you still log onto that one in case you need to print off the DS-260.

And I give you full permission to copy my folder :Plaughing.gif I love my folder. It's definitely helped me in staying super organized!

And I hope I can come to that reunion too even though I wasn't sent to TSC!

Oh, I really hope not! headbonk.gifNVC has already messed up so many times with your case and your daughter's!

hello all

I finally got my SIF today for both wife and step-sons cases. Feel like a huge weight has been lifted, I actually started suffering from depression during this wait, all I seemed to be able to do is work then go home to our empty house and stare at the TV till I fell asleep then get up and do it all over again. So i appologise for not being a good VJ'er. But congrats to all that have moved on past the NVC. I never expected the emotional toll that this process can put you through. Its almost criminal they way they do this for a family visa it just isnt right. but i am actually smiling now and it seems that this long journey is finally coming to a close. again congradulations to all that have already moved on, and to thoes still waiting keep up the faith though I know its hard.

I SOOOOOOOOO very much understand your feelings! My house is not empty but I am like a Zombie from this whole process and it does feel criminal to do this to people. I cry almost every night now, hide myself away in the bathroom so I don't upset my mom or son who are here with me. My mom is staying here right now until Gary gets back. Some days I don't even want to get out of bed and to make matters worse, I DON"T have a job anymore. I had a complete breakdown. I"ve always been a very happy go lucky person but this torture we have been put through has messed me up. Nothing will be ok until I have my Gary back home. Gary is going thru hell himself, living in a small bedroom in his moms house, he can't work because he needs a job HERE, not England. I sometimes wonder if I am a weak person and too sensitive, I always thought I was strong.

Take care everyone....sorry I sound so miserable, Being so very much in love with someone is a very scary place to be in times like this. You just want that person safe and next to you. Ok, I sut up now..rose.gif

I was convinced you guys were done with this mess ohmy.gifohmy.gifohmy.gif

I hope Gary will have the medical clearance complete this week.

I'm right now in NYC for a few days with my hubby, I'll be back in Paris Thur. We are still waiting for CC. I see exactly what you mean by "after Texas we are very gun shy and scared"

There's no day that I'm not scared of their review feedback...We got to a point where we almost regret not having continued on the K1...we really thought it would be much easier with a spouse visa... Celldoc says " C'est la vie" I say " C'est NVC"...

Good luck Val, all my prayers are for us the leftoverssmile.gif

prayers right back at you! I guess we are the leftovers. We thought a spouse visa would be much easier as well.....does not seem that way though....

Hi Val... I am so very sorry to hear about how your circumstance has taken such a negative toll on you guys :(

I looked back to all the posts we had all made starting several months ago, in the CSC-TSC thread- it really illustrated to me what sort of disgusting roller coaster ride we have all been through. I laughed when I saw how excited we all had gotten with our petitions being "touched" left right and center- only to realize a few weeks later that it was some buffoon hitting the "wrong boilerplate" I said it then and I said it again now- what the hell.

I cannot begin to imagine the toll things may have taken on you guys with the (pseudo)medical expedite you guys had been rightfully granted. All I can say is that I feel you guys are so, SO very close to being reunited Val... I'm hoping Gary gets his clearance soon and he can book that long-yearned-for one-way ticket ^_^

As we've been saying for MONTHS, keep the faith :D

geeze Val I just cant imagine how you felt hearing that the interview wasn't the end of your journey, I know I would just be a mess. Diana is in the same boat right now no place to live of her own her and jack are splitting time at a friends her brothers and her mothers house, but she keeps moving around so that she doesn't become a burden on anyone but its taking a huge toll on her.

Just read celldoc's reply and yes I remember when we all used to get so happy but after month and months of such tiny steps they even lose there shine.

But hay try and keep your spirits up you have found your soul mate and even though this journey is HARD it will be worth it in the end and like all journeys it has to come to and end. Gary will be home with you soon and life will be good then.

I have been thinking once we have our loved ones safely home, we should all write our stories and send them to someone and try and get this process changed it just doesn't make sense, the talking heads in Washington want to talk about immigration reform well they can start but fixing the family visa process. maybe if we all coordinated a mail campaign to some of the big news shows someone will pick up on it and bring it to light. though we all sort of had each other we were still silent stories going on as far as the rest of America is concerned.

but don't apologize for venting some on here, sometimes good therapy to get the emotions out and writing about them can be a great help.

cheers from your fellow traveler

Hey Guys.....thank you for the very kind posts. Gary had his medical today and is now on the bus back to his moms. He had to have another shot and x-ray and the nurses at Knightsbridge said from THEIR point of view...all LOOKS FINE!!! kicking.gif X-ray looked just fine according to the Tech. Gary called consulate and they said if he does NOT hear anything by Friday, that means the medical was fine and we should be on our way....VERY scared to get hopes up but...I AM GETTING EXCITED. I am going to throw the biggest party when this is over and invite every single one of our Visa Journey friends....I swear it feels like we are all war buddies. PEACE AND LOVE EVERYONE!!! rose.gifheart.gif
