They'll review whatever they get first.

Congratulations on the visa, Saylin! Was it a pretty straightforward process? What's POE?

Thanks! It was very easy and straightforward at Montreal yes.gif

POE = Point of Entry. It's where you go through customs and have to give over the sealed envelope you get from the embassy/consulate. Most people go through POE at airports. I'll be driving though, so I'll be doing POE at a land border.

Thank you. I'll be going through customs Thursday morning. Hoping it isn't that busy and that I can get through in under an hour.

Wife and son finally made it home Thursday evening. Flight landed at 8:30 PM but she did not clear Immigration until midnight. The first two agent she dealt with in immigration were a$holes, she was pi$ed at them. Both were Filipino and they were talking ####### about her in Tagalog, they had no idea that she understands Tagalog, she learned quite a bit when she stayed with me in the Philippines when I worked there.

Long story short, she approached another Immigration Officer and he was very accommodating. When she was leaving the immigration office at LAX, she made a comment to the two Filipino Immigration Officers in Tagalog, they were horrified she could speak Tagalog. Wished I could have seen their faces!! My wife don't take sh!t from anyone, makes me proud!!

Good luck to rest of you!!

We should receive her 10 year Green card soon as well as her Social Security card.

We have contacted our embassy and explained them about our situation, the mess from TSC and NVC and the fact that we will like to celebrate my birthday together. We asked them if is possible to reschedule our interview date and they told us the possible dates and we picked one :) You should try the same. Best of luck.

Good luck with the interview tomorrow!!

So sorry to know about your experience. I wish all Filipino VJers could gather around them and hit them in the head! Grrrrr!
