We got approved on Friday! It took a few days but Angela Barrows pulled through for us. I'd definitely suggest that anyone else still waiting on TSC drop her an email.

Hmm, that does seem like the expedite was approved since your case was forwarded and they only forward it if either your case has been completed or an expedite was approved. The best way to know for sure though is to call an operator up.

I did call an operator, she said it was sent to the consulate and we will be notified if the expedite was approved by the consulate. Does it mean they may not accept it?

Case Complete:

"... your Case was completed on ...Please allow 8 weeks for further instructions..."

Case Forwarded to Embassy:

"...The NVC has completed the case and forwarded it to the Embassy or Consulate in..."

Is that correct? If it is, then I would have to imagine your expedite was approved and now the embassy has it.

it is ultimately up to the consulate, so yes, they may not accept it. It really just depends on how strict the consulate is on expedites.

I thought when it came to expedites, NVC would send the request to the US Embassy, and if it was accepted, then send the case off to the Embassy. I didn't think they sent any forms or anything by mail until the expedite was approved. But I could be wrong on this; I don't know that much about expedites. Try calling another operator and asking the same question.

hey everybody , Expedite Approved , ejjeej the operator told me it takes 24 to 48 hours for the consulate to received the package, they dont know if they gonna check the documents at nvc or they gonna send the document to santo domingo , she said to call back on friday....so happy

no no, they dont send it back. It is sent directly to the consulate if the expedite is approved. Saylin is right on what she said about the expedite

CONGRATS Lara. I just got off the phone with NVC. I also recieved a message that NVC needed me to complete the DS-230... but.... she said they sent this message out to me BEFORE my expedite was approved... they shipped our petition to Brazil TODAY!!!! WOOHOOO... hopefully, we will have an interview date by the end of the week.

Are you sure it was denied? How do you know for sure? Did an operator tell you?
