so what is my next step, just sit and wait?

Mace, PLEASE read what SqdGns and I are saying before you have a terrible shock at your interview. If you overstayed three and a half years in the USA, you are barred from entering for 10 years, and need an I-601 waiver to overcome that. This costs $585, and you have to prove extreme hardship to the USA citizen. There are many forums devoted to it, and I suggest you start preparing the letter now. You will have your interview in London, and you will be denied - just ask RichiJenny. You need to have the waiver packet ready to be submitted at your denial.

I HATE to be a party pooper, but you need to be doing this NOW to prevent a LOT of heartache later on.

I cant give you my letter or anything (it is too personal), but I can give you some pointers:

1) In the subject of the email, write: Attn PI Supervisor Sue: Expedite request for XXXXXXXXXX( your case number here) and include the beneficiarys name

2) Put both your names and birthdates, and your NVC case number in the email. Attach all documents (screenshot of USCIS website saying they made a mistake, your NOA1 and NOA2, any correspondence you had with senators,congressman, anything related to USCIS)

3) Be honest, and if your English is not that good, then try to find someone who can help you write the email so you can get your point across.

4) Remember, it is not NVC that approves your expedite...they just forward your expedite email to the Consulate. It will be the Dominican Republic consulate that approves or denies the expedite in your case.

5) It can take a week or two to get an answer back from NVC if it had been expedited or not..

6) You may want to check other peoples timelines from Dominican Republic to see if an expedite would even make a difference for you since you sent all your papers already to NVC. For me, an expedite makes a huge difference because it normally takes 165 days from NOA2 to interview date in Bogota consulate. Your consulate may not take as long, so it really might be wiser to just go with the route you are taking, and not do the expedite.

7) Yes, you can be approved for USCIS error, as both Tina Benoy and I were expedited under that criteria. It does take some work though, and of course more patience.

Incase you've sent your doc's to NVC for the AOS & DS-230. Instead of NVC waiting to fix up an interview they'll send it directly to your respective embassy to expedite & accomodate for an interview. But be genuine in your email to them!! Supervisor Sue Rocks!

im a litter depress today, my mom is very sick , she cant take care my baby not because she dont want to do it , is just cause she is sick, sometimes she feel good but sometime she dont, i can't go to my country cause im saving the money we have for the trip and the medical expenses , im chairing this with you guy, with tears in my eyes cause i really need to let it out of my chest, i hope this end soon, .
