Thanks!! The wife sounds so much better now knowing that she and our son will be home soon!!

I just sent a text to the reporter that interviewed me to find out what happened to the article.........................I want the story out there so people really can learn what happens, or should happen when dealing with USCIS.

And as thrilled as your wife sounds, I can "hear" the excitement in your posts as well. No better feeling than knowing you will all be together very soon! I know I can't wait for me and my son to join my husband (this little three year old needs his dad around everyday to whip that butt into shape, he is handful!! lol).

I agree with you keeping on the reporter about the article, this is story that people should know about!!!!! The Califorinia to Texas USCIS Office Massacre!

As more and more people get their approvals there will be less posts here. I'm just here waiting for a response from my RFE. Hope I get an approval by the end of the week.

Good luck to everyone who is still waiting. It has been 8 months since I filed my papers. This is ridiculous. I am not even going to be that happy when and if I receive my approval. This whole ordeal took all the energy out of me.

I feel exactly just like you, 3 more days it will be 7 months for me.I didn't get response for my RFE either,only a touch on 3/2. I really started feeling bad and I am sick.I am not going to be happy myself.Each time I got a messege from USCIS,I woke my husband up(8 hrs.difference )hoping there was a approval.RFE,touch..touch..touch..sick of it!

We have good news. A week ago, one month after responding to our RFE, we received a letter saying we needed to wait another 60 days for a response from TSC. So (on Friday) we went back to our congressman. They contacted TSC immediately requesting an expedite, and we received an email today stating that we'd been approved. We are very, very happy and look forward to moving to the next phase.

:dance: :dance:

Best of luck to those who are still waiting - you have not been forgotten.

Congrats! :dance::dance:

That is weird though, why would they make you wait that long after receiving the response? They finished most of the 36K cases so I would have thought our cases would have priority over other cases. Right now I don't even have the energy to get mad lol. But I learned if you don't yell out you don't get heard. So I will give them a couple of weeks, after that they WILL hear from me! :bonk:

Because it was so obvious that the documents they RFE'd were official, our lawyer believes that both the RFE and the 60-day delay were retaliation by TSC because we went to our congressman for the first expedite in early January (before they processed the other TSC files). After the 2nd expedite we got a response (this morning) saying we would have to wait 45 days. One never wants to believe in conspiracies or pettiness like retaliation, but I must admit I wondered, and this adds to my concerns. I am so proud of my husband for persisting and staying positive even when I got discouraged. This made me think that it does pay sometimes to fight for your democratic rights (not to mention your rights as a paying customer).

Thank you CaliforniaGuy

I encourage you to stay on their case and contact your congressman/woman -- it really helps your morale if nothing else. I wonder if you have the same congressman as us (Adam Schiff) - that may help too. His staff person made us feel so good by responding so quickly.If it weren't for the second expedite, waiting 60 more days means we would have been lucky if I got my interview and visa in November or December - the worst case scenario was February 2012 or later. So we were pretty despondednt before we got the email this evening - and then we were all smiles!!!! 8-)

Why, when trying to login to the Dept of State NVC I get the following error message:

Sign In Failed

* Please be advised that the case that you have attempted to access is not eligible for further processing by the National Visa Center at this time. Please click on the Contact the NVC hyperlink if you believe that you have received this message in error.

Am I being too quick? They have just assigned our case number yesterday! Any thoughts? Thank you!
