As more and more people get their approvals there will be less posts here. I'm just here waiting for a response from my RFE. Hope I get an approval by the end of the week.

Good luck to everyone who is still waiting. It has been 8 months since I filed my papers. This is ridiculous. I am not even going to be that happy when and if I receive my approval. This whole ordeal took all the energy out of me.

we are waiting for an rfe too. we haven't even got our evidence back to them yet so i don't think you will be last to go from here. it's been over 7 months for us too and i know what you mean about the energy thing. Thank god for skype as we could never afford the phone calls. I hope to see you've got a good reply to your rfe soon.

You can send it as soon as both AOS and IV status changes from In progress to PAID

they wanted a copy of our marriage licence - we sent in the one without the numbers on in error - that was easy to fix. but there were missing docs for his second marriage in alaska - they want both marriage and divorce docs and alaska has no trace of them. we have a doc saying there is no trace of them but it isn't good enough. hope this isn't a deal breaker. our lawyer is trying to help and sounds positive but...

If the divorce document with the official stamp is lost than the county where the divorce took place should be able to make a certified copy if I'm not mistaken. I wonder why they don't have the divorce in their system. That is odd.

What about yours?

For us they wanted more proof of our marriage. I had already sent marriage license, pictures from several different trips that my wife made and I made with boarding passses, and phone bill showing the calls made between us. Well all those weren't enough. So now I sent 3 affidavit letters notarized, more pictures from 2 trips since the time we filed and more boarding passes and 6 months of phone bills lol andddd a copy of our joint credit card account. If all these don't work than I am filing taxes jointly and I can send that too!!! anddddd if that is not enough than I guess we both have go to their office and do the hanky panky :rofl::rofl: This is ridiculous!!!

Alaska just don't seem to have any record of either event which i find strange too. Good luck with your rfe though it sounds as though you have it covered - hope the last idea won't be necessary!

Thanks!! The wife sounds so much better now knowing that she and our son will be home soon!!

I just sent a text to the reporter that interviewed me to find out what happened to the article.........................I want the story out there so people really can learn what happens, or should happen when dealing with USCIS.
