Hey gang, unfortunately I did not get approved, however my case status was demoted from "Post Decision Activity" back to "Initial Review".

I received a text and email a few minutes ago. The email reads:

*** DO NOT RESPOND TO THIS E-MAIL ***

The last processing action taken on your case

Receipt Number: WACxxxxxxxxxx

Application Type: I130 , IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN

Your Case Status: Initial Review

The I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN was transferred and is now being processed at a USCIS office. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you.

Even though I haven't joined the ranks of the approved ones, I'm still happy because this shows some sign of life in my application

Interestingly, I still have no clue where my application really is, so a part of me is still somewhat worried...

I guess somebody is workin on your case...its near bro. IA...

I contacted Officer Angela with the same query(how long will it take for the approved petiton to reach NVC? & will NVC be notified with the TSC fiasco?). So here's her reply..

"Finalized petitions should leave TSC within 2 business day for the NVC. I am not sure how long it will take at the NVC and it wouldn’t be right for me to speak for them. I am glad that your petition was approved. :) " (smiley was a part of the email)

thanks for the info... i really hope it takes them 2 business days...

if it is true then i think we should be in the system by tuesday or wednesday...

Right. However, I'm more interested if any one of us newly approved gang got the "approved petiton is being sent for visa processing" mail, like the one Wade & the old approvers got. That might be the sign that the cases have indeed been sent to NVC. Anyway i'm keeping my fingers crossed for next Friday(18th Feb).

However, one more thing to notice is that Officer Angela did not mention anything about the "escorted ride to NVC". I think they'll consider us as normal petitioners once we r at NVC.

NICE! So you're at CSC, good to know :)

Since I emailed Ms. Barrows today, from my hospital's .edu email nonetheless, on a Friday afternoon, I don't think I'll hear from her till maybe Wednesday or so...

Here's to a speedy reunion with our spouses

I'm sure yours is there too... just hasn't updated in the computers yet. I'm pretty optimistic that we will all be approved soon.

My file is till in TCS also....because i got an email from TSC. I emailed to Ms Angela twice but no response.

Thank you for contacting the USCIS Texas Service Center (TSC) regarding your Form I-130, Petition for Alien Relative. You should expect an action (such as an approval, denial, or a Request for Evidence (RFE)) to be taken on the petition by the end of February 2011.

We encourage you to monitor the progress of your case by using the on-line case status tool found on the USCIS website (www.uscis.gov). If you do not see any action on your case by March 1, 2011, you may contact USCIS again at: I-130Inquiries.Tsc@dhs.gov.

We remain committed to the prompt resolution of all pending cases and we sincerely regret any inconvenience this delay in processing may have caused. We are making every effort to remedy this situation as soon as possible.

I hope this information is helpful to you.

GUESS WHAT? This was the EXACT email I received 2 days before we had the approval. Except that the email says it came from Officer Garza. I think they alternate the names- Garza, Vera, etc. Yours is coming, too!!

I got emailed from Garza before said that my case is requesting for review. I don't know my case was transferred to CSC or not coz im August filer. Hope my case will get approve next week.

I still have 5-6 pages to read through, but I have to say YAAAYYYYY I GOT APPROVED!

I received the text at 5:13pm PST. I was in the middle of tutoring a student when I got the text, and it took everything I had to not be like, "Dude, sorry, I've gotta go check my email." I couldn't even wait to get home to check, and now I'm sitting at the Borders cafe trying to contain my excitement.

I'm sooo happy and I can't wait until it's late enough for me to call my husband in England.

I imagine there were lots of other approvals tonight (I'm gonna go back and read those pages now), so I'm gonna go ahead and say congratulations to everyone who's been approved!

Guys, I've been away for 2 days already and am surprised we have part 2 of this thread already. Still i have no time to read all the messages but tom I'll try my best to read everything from Part 1 page 265.

Nwys we received an email a while ago, we are APPROVED Feb 11, 2011. woot woot woot

Thank you guys
