Hi everyone, been away from the forum 5 days. I sent my RFE yesterday overnight. I sent 3 affidavits, 2 trip details (trips made after filing I-130) with boarding passes and pictures and also a photocopy of our mutual credit card account (I was able to add her and get the card mailed to me in time). So I hope its enough. And if its not, well i am filing tax papers married filing jointly in the next 1-2 weeks so if they need MORE evidence of a bona fide marriage than I can make and send a copy. This RFE took a lot of energy out of me. Hope I get approved 2 weeks from now. To everyone still waiting for approvals keep your hopes up.

Congrats to everyone who got approved and I'm sorry if I missed anyone. It's been 5 days since I haven't been on.

Hello VJ family, I just got the following email from Mr. Badger:

Both cases were approved on 2/21 and were sent to the
NVC
on 2/25.

Please give the mail carrier a few days for delivery.

Very awesome, celldoc! Looks like we're gonna be at NVC at the same time! :)

Still nothing on my case. No touches, no progress. So much for the rapid response plan.

I emailed their special address today and got the following autoresponse:

Thank you for contacting the USCIS Texas Service Center (TSC) regarding your Form I-130, Petition for Alien Relative. This automated response is to acknowledge receipt of your email.

You should expect an action (such as an approval, denial, or a Request for Evidence (RFE)) to be taken on the petition by the end of February 2011.

We encourage you to monitor the progress of your case by using the on-line case status tool found on the USCIS website (www.uscis.gov).

If you do not see any action on your case by March 1, 2011, you may contact USCIS again at: I-130Inquiries.Tsc@dhs.gov .

We remain committed to the prompt resolution of all pending cases and we sincerely regret any inconvenience this delay in processing may have caused.

We are making every effort to remedy this situation as soon as possible.

You'd think they would have at least taken that autoresponse off given that it's March 1st now, but I guess they don't care that receiving that autoresponse is making me want to scream with frustration. It just comes off as so uncaring and incompetent. If this were a for-profit business and there was a competing business to go to instead I would have paid twice as much to go with a company that seemed to give a ####### about my case.

Bad news and good news...

Good one - I have the NVC number.

Bad one - They messed up again.

I tried to get INN, I gave the operator my husband's birthday (which I cannot forget, it's one week before mine), and imagine - he told me that I was wrong! I said that I could not be wrong on that, I repeated the info - he became angry and said he could not provide any info :crying: Again... He was rude so I asked him to transfer me to another operator. The next operator was very helpful, he told me that indeed my husband's birthday was probably entered incorrectly and that I need to scan the first page of his passport and email them. I'm so upset. Such a nice beginning of the day... and then same old sh... When will they stop treating our documents like plain paper??? Tired...

Guess that suggests that incompetence doesn't stop with the black hole.
