Mace, the following is the basic format I used in emailing Mr. Badger:

  1. Place your WAC # in the subject of the email.

  2. Begin you email with a standard salutation.

  3. In one sentence explain why you are writing. Include in this portion your full name and your spouse's full name.

  4. In about a paragraph describe your situation- stick to facts, try not to editorialize it.

  5. Now in 2 or 3 sentences mention that you are concerned because ___________________________.

  6. End email with "Sincerely"

Best of luck bro.

Cheers

Awesome, this is a great template to use. Keep it short with only the most important details.

HI ..IM SORRY TO TELD YOU, BUT YOU CAN NOT GET A VISA B-1 B-2 BECAUSE THAT VISA IS FOR PEOPLE WHO WANTS TO VISIT THE COUNTRY, IF YOU APPLY FOR THIS VISA , THE PROCESS FOR THE GREEN CARD CAN BE DELAY , IS BETTER IF YOU GUYS STAY CALM AND WAIT FOR THE END OF THE PROCESS.

I dont think it will effect my green card process. it doesnt even go to the USCIS or the NVC. The b-1, 2 visa's are handled at the us embassy in the country you select. i just know once they see we are married and we are working on getting a greencard. They will probably deny the B-2 visa. i am just hoping there is someone who has tried this and actually got approved.

Jenny! I thought you forgot all about me! Yes I'm still waiting for my NOA2- or God-forbid an RFE.

Last I was told, I was transferred to the CSC, although I haven't received any written confirmation.

If you were already approved why in the world would your app be sent to the CSC?

No, don't let the thought of RFEs cloud your mind!!

Were you really transferred back to CSC?? That makes no sense!

I have no idea why mine was sent to the CSC after approval- David Badger said it was their mistake! *shakes fist*. He said he would get it forwarded to the NVC and this was back on 2/16- I kinda wanna ask him what's going on but I don't wanna bug him! I think on Friday I will email him again and ask if he got it done.

Hey guys,

I've been taking a break for VJ. I've been in and out of the forum just reading and not commenting. I felt down in the dumps last week and decided to just relax and let things take its course.

Congrats to all those who have heard good news in the past days as far as approvals and receiving NVC #'s.

I dreamt last night that I received an RFE...horrible nightmare. I hope it doesn't come true, I just want this to be over. I'm praying that this week will be filled with a lot more good news as we are nearing the end of the month.

Anyways, just popping in to say hello. Be encouraged everyone we will get to the other side of this soon enough :)

Cause some of us who received an RFE was cause we didn't send affidavits or show any mutual accounts, property, lease, etc. I don't want to get anyone nervous but I have a feeling the longer the wait the higher the chance of receiving an RFE :(

I didn't send any affidavits at all and I didn't send any mutual accounts or joint leases (since we don't have any).

We just sent: 11 pictures (6 wedding related, 5 others), my 8 plane tickets to the USA, 6 movie tickets while I was in the USA last summer, and two snapshots of our conversation on Skype and another on MSN. Plus, obviously, our marriage certificate. That was all.

Some of these RFEs people are getting baffles me cause I don't see how most couples will have joint or mutual accounts since most aren't living together. Some of these officers are just out of their mind headbonk.gif

I sent in one affidavit and our son's birth certificate. I didn't send photos or anything else.

I'm starting to worry that maybe I should have sent in more :S

Hey all, just dipped in from my laptop on a little break.

Celldoc, Jenny & Mace, how do I say this - you have to be more proactive here. None of these people get annoyed with emails. Persistence is the key. Email daily, and call their telephones. It is being proved that he who shouts loudest gets heard. I'm like you, I prefer to be more laid back with calling/emailing because I have always believed in that way of dealing with things. That was until this scenario - this is unique, this is one of a kind. Consistent pressure works, it worked for us, and it worked for others. You will not offend or annoy them - they are busy, and can make mistakes and forget things - REMIND them firmly but fairly.

Here's a copy of an email I sent Mr Badger - within an hour, he responded. Email the hell out of them, please don't get left on the wayside.

Just my two cents worth of advice.good.gif

Dear Mr. Badger,

Approved I-130 Petition WAC xxxxxxxxxxx (25th January 2011)

Beneficiary Gary Jxxxxxxxxxxx

Petitioner Valerie xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I write on behalf of my wife, Val xxxxxxxx US citizen, whois the petitioner on my approved I-130. I know you have had immense troubles inTexas, and I appreciate that you are inundated with enquiries. Our case is simple. Our NOA1 was July 23rd. We had a medical and financial expedite on our I-130 granted on November 26th.

We were approved on 25th January, and the case is still in Texas. We were promised faithfully it would be shipped last Wednesday. A week further on, and we are no nearer shipment.

We, as a family, are dying. My stepson is struggling with his health, the absence of me, his stepfather, and his schooling is falling apart. I NEED to get home to my family before there IS no family. PLEASE, PLEASE, help us, and ship our approved petition to NVC. I am begging you.

Thank You, I know you are all doing your best.

Kind Regards

When we filed se sent 3 affidavits, wedding pics. I think it's not a matter of enough proves. It all depends on the officer mood and level of competence. And yet again, YOU PAY FOR THAT
