No problem. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. I'll answer to the best of my knowledge ;)

I sent a lot of documents with the original I-130 (divorce records, birth certificates, police records, passport bio page, etc...). Will I need to send duplicate copies for the NVC process?

I-130 NOA1: July 2nd, 2010

I-130 NOA2: February 10th

Sent to NVC: February 11th

Yeah, pretty much everything listed HERE (originals). In addition they want 1 set of photocopies of all documents you submit. By the time it's over, USCIS, NVC, and the Consulate will have each a full set of all documents (originals/certified copies). Maybe they give some back after the interview.

I guess they want to make sure you have enough copies HEY !

You should ask for them back at the interview, NVC and TSC

will both forward them to the US Embassy and they will probably

give them all back to you than.

Good LUCK

Well, my process was a little different since I did electronic processing and online forms. But back in August (before EP and online forms were an option) when I was first getting everything prepared, I used the following guides: http://www.visajourn..._live_in_the_US and http://www.visajourn...p/EZGuideSpouse and http://www.visajourn...he_NVC_ShortCut.

I understand that electronic processing isn't available to most yet. But is available for Canada. I am in Spokane, WA. Is it available here?

Personal Info:

flew to Indonesia in Feb. 2010 for 2 weeks

back to Jakarta on June 15 to prepare for:

Marriage on July 4, 2010 in Semarang, Java

120 Indonesian relatives at garden restaurant reception

USCIS:

08/06/2010 *I-130 NOA1

11/03/2010 *CSC to TSC

01/25/2011 *I-130 NOA2

02/17/2011 *shipped to NVC

02/24/2011 *received by NVC, Case # generated

02/25/2011 *2 emails from NVC - DS3032 emailed to NVC and AOS bill paid

02/28/2011 *AOS cover sheet generated

03/02/2011 *sent AOS

03/03/2011 *IV bill generated and paid

03/12/2011 *IV packet sent

03/16/2011 *IV packet received by NVC

03/28/2011 *SIF

03/29/2011 *CC

04/12/2011 *Embassy Interview 05/04/2011 8am

05/04/2011 *Visa approved (< 5 min interview)

05/09/2011 *picked up Visa

05/14/2011 *POE Seattle

It doesn't matter where in the USA the petitioner is, it's where the beneficiary is located. And if the beneficiary in your case is from Indonesia, then no, it's not available.

Scroll down to the table at the end and you'll see countries that have the option of EP and/or online forms: http://travel.state..../info_5165.html

just got an email from CSC

Thank you for your inquiry. Records show that your case has been relocated to the California Service Center on February 11, 2011 for processing. We understand that inconvenience associated with the previous relocations, and now that the petition is back with the California Service Center we are directing all available and appropriate resources to adjudicate the workload as quickly as possible. You should receive a notice of action by February 28, 2011 or sooner.

You may monitor the progress of your case by accessing My Case Status online at: https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/Dashboard.do. If you don not see any action on your case by March 1, 2011 you may contact USCIS at: I-130Inquiries.Tsc@dhs.gov. A notice of action may be in a form of Approval Notice, Denial Notice, or Request for Evidence. Thank you very much.

Officer Ellis

I tried to log onto my account at USCIS but it doesn't work anymore. Just as if I don't know the password anymore. Is that happening to ones that have been supposedly approved?

if you didnt get and e mail. Many people never received and e mail some did some didnt.

they could be still doing closing checks and gathering info and your file to send. Nothing you can do
