NASA contradicts itself about how fast change may occur. The IPCC has about as much credibility as a used-car salesman. And there is scientific study that proves just about anything if you look hard enough.

The Twentieth Century Reanalysis Project is just another study trying to further understanding of what is going on. It needs to be seen as just that, another piece of the puzzle.

Rather there are groups with a financial interest in swaying public opinion ready and willing to manufacture false science that manages to create doubt in the minds of those not educated or intelligent enough to know the difference or, in some cases, where their own financial well-being is threatened by the conclusions of real science.

Think for a minute, which side in this debate has some serious financial incentive for 'something to be a certain way'! I know you believe in the inherent goodness, honesty, and responsibility of the oil and petrochemical industries but there are some of us who feel we have reason to be wary of them. I know you all think that the global warming scientists are raking in huge bucks for promoting the concept but do you seriously believe that?!!

I think that thousands of scientists live and die by funding. I also believe that they will skew the results to whatever is needed to maintian that funding. The email fiasco proves that they do it. Do I trust big oil? Nope. I don't trust any of them from either side.

It's interesting that the OP quotes research by Gilbert Campo when trying to refute GW. Much of Campo's research has involved how the increase in the earths temperature over the last 100 years or so is mostly due to climate change caused by oceanic warming. They research primarily involves process, not cause, so they have not tried to determine why the oceans have warmed up but does stae they believe part of it is a natural process and part is due to human activity.

He has also stated in the past that CO2 will cause temperatures to increase, but he does not believe that much warming due to CO2 has occurred YET.

If the actual (as opposed to made-up) science, and the huge financial interests that can pay for honest scientific research were on the same side, how is it that the great majority of respected scientists world-wide accept man made GW as real? You seriously think that somehow they are all together in some sort of sinister plot to pull a hoax on us? What possible motivation would there be, other than for a few crack-pots to be nay-sayers? You need to follow the money if you want to see where the motivation to dishonesty is! You seem to resemble to a great extent the same group that were so certain of WMD's in Iraq, in spite of UN atomic energy inspectors under El-Baredei (spelling?) repeatedly telling us otherwise? I suppose in 10-20 years you will be manufacturing a cover story for why you were wrong and blaming it on 'faulty intelligence'!
