I-485 Transfer to CSC

Yeah... with our RFE, I was a dummy and didn't request delivery confirmation, and... they never received it! Mail doesn't just get lost very often. It just doesn't. I sent it at the post office, so it couldn't have gotten lost in my mailman's sack. I addressed it myself and had the postal worker weigh it, so I know it had proper postage. I had our return address on it.

Anyway, somehow, the MSC didn't receive it. After a month of being patient, we sent it again, with delivery confirmation, and they acknowledged receipt within a day or two. I don't believe for a minute that the last packet actually didn't arrive. I think they set it aside, and then they actually processed the stuff when we resent the packet. In the meantime, that's over a month of turnaround. Argh!

Anyway, lesson learned: Always use delivery confirmation!

Just saw an update on my EAD today (10/23). The funny thing is that they are saying that it was approved, and that an approval notice was mailed on Oct 20…. But I have already received the EAD card!! So, I don’t know what they mean with that approval notice…

Just got my EAD card on the mail! Now the waiting for the AOS approval will be a bit less stressful.

Well I just got back from the post office (Fast turn around about 2 hours from when I got the mail) ... The so called missing marriage certificate RFE has been replied on and is on its way back to CSC ...

Good job! You will probably get an approval soon after they receive it.

This is why I send all the important documents to important place with “Return Receipt”. Like that you can track-it online and by mail and know who sign it, at what time, where and all relevant information. Or sending by overnight and / or express almost always have these options.

Well USPS is indicating that my RFE was delivered to CSC on Monday Oct 23 around 10:30am ...

I haven't received any status change on my case so CSC hasn't acknowledged receiving it yet so it is probably sitting on a pile down in the mail room

That is good news. It will make it's way from the mail room to where it should go by the end of this week.

I'll bet you will be approved within two to three weeks. I wish it would happen quicker but you know how they operate.

hello! hum,i got a transfer notice too about couple days ago,they sent me a mail that they transfer my application to california service center to speed up the processing,a week after we sent our RFE.

I called the mis-info line today. They said CSC's processing date is April 11th (which I checked is the porcessing date for employment base adjustment of status). What is the processing date for K-1 or spouse base adjustment of status???

If they say the processing timeline is 180 days for CSC then why are they still upto April 11th. This is disgusting.

I called the mis-info line a few days ago and was told that the projected processing time is "180 days from the date of transfer"

Managed in a roundbout way to get a hold of someone and found out that our case is pending namecheck. Thats it!!!!

So we have contacted Annie's MP and MSP to see if they could help with the cooperation level on the UK side.

More than likely it is sitting on a desk at the FBI waiting for its turn.

So now its all about waiting
