Hi all, today (late) I also got an email and checked the USCIS site and they sent me an email saying the application has been approved for EAD. Different than the email of last week as this one just confirmed a letter on the way as opposed to the card. For a moment, when I saw the CRIS email, I thought that was my AOS!

Paul, what are you looking to do for work? I've signed up on Monster.com. I can also get my Social Security Card updated and get a drivers license!

PS. I like the way the card says I can work from 10/4, even though they approved on 10/10 and it got here 10/16!

Just saw that my EAD was approved!! Finally I can work and can have my driver’s license!!

And the AP arrived today in the mail. This is a great beginning of wee!

Hope that everyone that is waiting gets some good news also!

Well, I sent off the RFE response for my AOS today. Almost 1/4" thick, close to 60 pages of documentation - every page of which had been sent previously in the original AOS submission. Let's hope they bother to LOOK at it this time.

I've never heard a thing about either my EAD or AP, since the original NOA1 for both of them. Everyone here with similar submission dates seems to have EAD's being touched and received daily now, I've never even had so much as a touch since the NOA back in August.

Just for ONCE I'd like at least ONE aspect of this nightmarish process to go easily for us. We have had the longest waits, the most problems, everything go wrong, at every possible step. We've watched countless numbers of people sprint past us with quick approvals while we sat waiting for months with no news whatsoever.

I think the USCIS hates me.

I submitted my wife’s AOS two months before you and we got the GC less than a month ago. So I do not think you are doing that bad. We also received a RFE for stuff we had submitted. You will get approved very soon after they get the RFE.

James, you must be my long lost twin or something!!!

I saw those e-mails in my in box and thought exactly the same thing!!! AOS woohoooo!!! or maybe not .??..... I mean why send a letter saying the case has been approved....I know it's been bloody approved cos I have the card in my hand!!!1 Yeah and my dates on the card are from the same dates, so that was 12 days of work lost already!!!!

As far as looking for work, well I 'm a marine biologist so I'm looking forward to getting back to the coast and networking and trying to find a job back in Santa Cruz....but until then I may just do some temp work so we can make the rent each month!

Hello CSCers, I see there hasn't been much going on, hopefully things will soon pick up and those approvals will come flying out. Still no news on my AOS, but I was approved for my EAD today- got the email 30 mins ago!! I just called my mum in the UK as my hubby is at work and I desperately wanted to talk to someone who would be excited as I am that now I can work- although after not working for 4 months it's going to be a little daunting to actually apply for jobs!! I'm just so thrilled!! now I finally get to use the happy dance smiley!!

Congratulations on your EAD approval ... How long did it take for your EAD to be approved and when did you apply for it ??

I am hoping for my EAD approval as I know my green card will be delayed many more weeks now with my RFE that is to be coming ... My future boss called me again today to ask what color company car I want ...

It is such a great feeling and relief, getting the GC and it was not even for me it was for my wife. The freedom for us to travel, get SSN (the real one), drivers licenses, a job if she wants, etc.

Congrats on the approval, Katie! I've been out of work for 4 months also because of this. Monster.com has got me some good replies just by posting my resume and I'm now trying careerbuilder.com. That's just incase you wanted any help? I do as I'm finding it hard after so long off work!

I wasn't too happy when I just read someone got approved after 15 days from the CSC transfer! I mean, it must have sat there without time to collect dust, then there's some of us waiting here for over a month!
