Can someone tell me how important the joint bank account is for the AOS interview? Should we absolutely have one. Has anyone ever got denied AOS for not having a joint bank account?

One of the main things they (USCIS) will be looking for at your interview is the co-mingling on finances.... one of the best ways to show that is with a joint bank account....

If you can open one before your interview then I would do so...

If you have a joint bank account is a commonly asked question at AOS interview. Its so easy to add a spouse to a bank account, that you should just do it to be safe.

I doubt anyone has ever been denied for not having a joint bank account alone, but in terms of evidence, why miss out on one of the easiest to obtain?

it was one of the thing needed for proof of relationship in our case and a copy was made of a few of the bank records
