I've almost read the whole thread, but I can't take it anymore, it makes me sick... Being a Russian girl, I have something to say.

Yes, there are some cultural differences, so clearly Russian and American women are different, but I don't think that American men have a right to insult American women. I don't see the point. So, you've found somebody you love, somebody you care about and this person cares about you, but why on earth you have to critisize anybody else?

In fact, some Russian women have the same problem - they start dating foreigners and start saying that there are no decent men in Russia. The funniest thing is that when they break up with their foreign BFs they start being all like "Russian men are the best" It's just so FAKE. So I would never trust a man, who would be saying that there is something wrong with all American women. I'm glad my fiance is not like that, plus in would be like insulting not only some random women, but also his sisters and mom (who are all great and btw I saw them wearing heels if that's so important). And I'm also glad that he is with me for the reasons other than "not being a native english-speaker".

Another thing. The thought that all FSU women wear high heels and mini skirts all the time is a myth (sorry, guys). Well maybe there are some girls, who do that, but definitely not the smartest ones (no offence). Wearing a mini skirt in winter when it's freezing cold is not hot or classy, it's stupid. So is wearing high heels every single day when there are piles of snow and ice on the pavement. So is wearing heels to the beach, with all that sand. There are a lot more examples, but I think you got my point?

One more thing. Bragging how your wife cooks for you or does anything else wearing almost nothing is disgusting. I mean, c'mon, guys, don't you think it's something too personal to share with all those people on VJ you don't even know?

Thanks for another perspective on this, ONA. It's one that is sorely needed here. I think you just earned your entry into the VJ Sisterhood.star_smile.gif

This thread smells of Sex Panther cologne....

  • Brian Fantana: I'll give this little cookie an hour before we're doing the no-pants dance. Time to musk up. [opens cologne cabinet]
  • Ron Burgundy: Wow. Never ceases to amaze me. What cologne you gonna go with? London Gentleman, or wait. No, no, no. Hold on. Blackbeard's Delight.
  • Brian Fantana: No, she gets a special cologne... It's called Sex Panther by Odeon. It's illegal in nine countries... Yep, it's made with bits of real panther, so you know it's good.
  • Ron Burgundy: It's quite pungent.
  • Brian Fantana: Oh yeah.
  • Ron Burgundy: It's a formidable scent... It stings the nostrils. In a good way.
  • Brian Fantana: Yep.
  • Ron Burgundy: Brian, I'm gonna be honest with you, that smells like pure gasoline.
  • Brian Fantana: They've done studies, you know. 60% of the time it works, every time.
  • Ron Burgundy: That doesn't make sense.
  • Brian Fantana: Well... Let's go see if we can make this little kitty purr.
  • Veronica Corningstone: My God, what is that smell? Oh.
  • Brian Fantana: That's the smell of desire my lady.
  • Veronica Corningstone: God no, it smells like, like a used diaper... filled with... Indian food. Oh, excuse me.
  • Brian Fantana: You know, desire smells like that to some people
  • Garth Holliday: What is that? Smells like a ####### covered in burnt hair.
  • News Station Employee: Smells like Bigfoot's #######.

You have to understand the psychology of why they do it. These men have been rejected by a woman who they had strong feelings for, and in order to be able to cope with that rejection they constantly have to put down the women who represent the woman or women who rejected them because that gives them a feeling of control - that the rejection doesn't matter because these women are worthless anyway.

Of course the smart thing to do would be to examine the reasons behind the original rejection and accept some personal responsibility for that rejection, which would obviate the necessity to make these ridiculous blanket statements about American (or native English speaking women from specific countries) and 'other' women. Don't expect any changes though, it takes a strong and smart man to undertake such a self examination.

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

Are you trying to belittle someone? That is against TOS you know. You should apologize to Gary and Why Me for your insensitive and hateful post.

Not all men are strong or smart. Those men can go to the FSU and find themselves an ex cam model - what's so wrong with that?

Quickly getting back on topic for a sec. Funnily enough, I was on fb the other day, and my die hard liberal SIL posted this article, which I found v interesting.

If Pepsi indeed does have a history of portraying black women like this, then it IS a racist commercial:

Negative stereotypes of black people are persistent and pervasive. Let's not act like it's just Pepsi doing it.

True, but TV and ads in general, help perpetuate stereotypes. Have you ever watched a McDonald's commercial during an NBA game?

Well, hopefully we're past the point of needing dating advice; but I'll help you out. I'm an incredibly average guy. Not handsome and not rich; yet somehow I've never had a problem with those shallow American women. Here's the best advice I can give you. When you try your best to talk to women; always remember to talk less and listen more. ( I know a lot of guys on these boards have a problem with not talking so much ) You know, sometimes women have something to say.

Good God!!! don't listen to them , it will drive you crazy. Just keep your commands simple and give em a pat on the bottom and tell them they're doing a good job every once in a while
