Talking of shallow, how much effort have you made to learn the language and culture of your spouse? If you were to visit your spouse's country, would you be able to conduct a reasonable amount of business in that language without needing your wife's help?

I am working on it! Was always fascinated by Russia, even took Russian when in college but forgot most of it. I do believe that language and thought are very interdependent and that to truly understand someone from another culture you should learn their language. Some thoughts are difficult to translate. I love visiting there and hope we travel back there often. I love many things about the culture and am busy learning more. If anything, I am more attracted to their culture and she to ours!

If you allow your wife to talk?? Isn't that just precious :wow: Am I lucky or what that my USC spouse ALLOWS me to post on VJ?

I'm waiting for him to tell us about the gag Alla doesn't mind wearing. Naked. With stilletos.

Our journey together on this earth has come to an end.

I will see you one day again, my love.

Psst, Amber, over here so I can whisper it to you.

It's called mid-life crisis. Common symptoms are a used European sports car and Viagra.

there's other psychological stuff that goes with it too :P

Life is a ticket to the greatest show on earth.

She's not a USC :secret::oops:

And what? I have often said I do not limit my disqualification of wife material to USC's. Any native English speaking woman would be crossed off the list. My choice. I DO get to choose who I would consider for marriage. No one else has to like it.

I speak fluent French and Russian. I introduced myself to my spouse when I met her by chance, in Russian. She WAS able to tell I was not a native speaker. :lol: But she did understand I was not stealing her baggage but carrying it to the bus for her.

I built a very large container ship facility in Odessa without Alla's help.

Next?

Is that why you were broke when you first started posting questions on here about your Affidavit of Support?

The problem with English speaking women is they LIKE having someone to have a real conversation with!

Perhaps that has been your problem?
