i wanted to know if anyone else has had their visa approved using assets...here is our issue

my wife works 37.5 hours a week making 13.50 an hour..howver because of snow days this year which is rare in NC where she lives the employer averaged her hours for 32.5 instead of 37.5...thus making our shortfall almost 3k...she also has child support documented at 5820 a year and dividends from profit sharing for 3 quarters @334 each quarter for a total of 1002 for the year.

This makes our income 29,637 and there will be 5 of us in the house so we are short 3,067.

Her last years taxes she made enough she made 29,867 and with child support it was over 34k.

She has a 401k which right now has almost 106,000 in it and can be liquidated minus the penalties of about 35% would be 69,000. Co sponsor is out of question right now because too many ppl are afraid to get involved.

Is there any hope that we can gain visa with these numbers? has anyone been able to do this with the assets making up the difference of either 9k or 15k depending on if you go by the 3x or 5x amount...any help any suggestions would be great...
