What I know is that you prefer contemporary over other choices, and yellow gold over other color choices. So consider that when casting your vote. I'm certain everything here is a choice you would love. The other thing to consider is that your wedding band will be matching similar to how choice A's wedding band is shown matching.

So, which would you like to see on your hand? And if you have a reason why, please share. Thanks for looking!

If I prefer yellow gold, why are you giving me silver/ platinum?

I would say A and B are the most contemporary.

Of your options, I like that contemporary band on D! It looks almost like a combination of a tension band with a pronged mounting. Nice

Traditional his and hers Mongolian matrimonial patterns on our rings.

Personally I like E or C but think that the band on D is more contemporary. I like the striations moving away from the setting as well - they add a nice 'finishing' touch.

I was torn between C and E I choose C in the end as I prefer smaller bands around my fingers, plus looked more in keeping with most jewellry I own and I loved the cut look into the band. I can't deal with heavy chunky bands due to small fingers and I also handle my dog alot as well as general household chores you know the usual duties. I learnt years ago smaller bands work better for me when carrying stuff rather than having a chucky wedge catching somewhere maybe I'm odd who knows though my fiance did give me two rings both with very small bands which was odd as I never said I liked small bands. Though in the case of my two rings they are small and I am prone to taking them off when doing housework because i'm scared of bending them and have misplaced them twice already where they've just slid off my fingers I guess it's because they are so light. I think it's a weight thing also I like them heavy enough to notice if they move beyond my first knuckle but light enough not to end up annoying me!

 Can ya say picky

~We started chatting online through a chat room in October 2007~

E just seems to have a prettier band. Have you tried looking together? I mean she is going to wear it the rest of her life so isn't it worth being sure she'll actually love it? btw my ring is a three stone and the center is not even a diamond because I prefer sapphires. My husband would not have known that if he never asked for my opinion.

I would have proudly worn any ring he chose but choosing one together was even better!

This is the thing...I told her there would not be an e-ring until we could afford one. So this is going to be a complete surprise. I've asked her about certain elements that she likes on rings, so I feel like I've got a good idea about what she would like. I would love for her to participate, but she wants me to purchase our wedding bands too, and she doesn't want to see them until the wedding. So, she wants the surprise.

After sitting on these designs for a while now, I don't get that "this is the one" feeling from any of them. So I went and did some soul searching until I found this ring.

id963-engagement-rings-side.jpgid963-engagement-rings-frnt.jpg

I think it's stunning, but the design on the shoulders is not what I would pick for her. So I'm now looking into having a custom ring done with a similar styling, but with a different design on the shoulders.

Her country is know for a legendary lace called Ñandutí. The legend behind it is beautiful and somewhat fitting. So I'm thinking of using a pattern similar to this on the shoulders.

nanduti_055.jpg

This is obviously more personal and specific, and...she will love the thought so much more than anything else. I have no doubts that she will love the ring just as much too.

So I guess the question now is, does F trump the rest?

Oh, and thank you misterbigtoe for your creativity.

Stylewise, I'd like D and B most.

Are you sure she loves big stones in the ring? I don't think I'd be terribly unromantic, but I'd never want a huge stone in a ring. (It would just get stuck with all the daily, mundane life tasks I happen to get to)

There are plenty of other more contemporary designs too.

How about some of the styles of these, these, or these for instance? (My choice would still be "Heart of Gold" form the 3rd link)

No harm in asking her opinions - you can always tell it's just a thought, maybe one day in the future... narrow down enough style options, until there are only a few designs left to choose, then make a poll.

So if of all possible ring designs those five are the ultimate 5 she would like... well, D would I guess be the one that I would like most (but still not prefer, as those all would be quite traditional).

I like C, since I prefer round cut to square cut. and I like the detail on the band.
