Hello everyone,

So, my EAD came in the mail about a month ago and I've been maniacally applying to various jobs (wow, feels great). What will hopefully be the last step in the process, the interview for GC approval, will be in March.

One of the positions I've applied for is a telecommuting part-time job as an online content writer. Essentially a paid blogger. My employer has sent me a W-9 form to fill up and there's a line that bothered me:

"I am a US citizen or other US person (defined below)"

The definition that somewhat applies to me is:

"An individual who is a US Citizen or US resident alien"

I know it may seem like a silly question, but I wanted confirmation from anyone who has better experience than me: while in "limbo" of waiting for my GC, am I right to assume I'm a "US resident alien"? In short, am I not committing perjury by stating so?

(sheesh, the whole limbo of waiting for a GC definitely does something to terminology).

Thanks in advance!
