Hey all,

I just wanted to share my excellent news to you all. My daughter had her interview yesterday for her IR-2. They asked questions to my Mon instead of her. She is only 7, per consul , they ask questions to the kinds over 12.

Well, after questioning my mom about my and my husbands relatioship-how did we meet, when did we get married, etc they took my girl's passport and she got APPROVED.

The whole process was very easy and smooth-pretty quick too.

I send Power of Attorney to my Mom (spend extra $300.00 for the sending and apostile fee but it was not necessary)

Every embassy has its own requirement I think.

I am very happy and excited

Quick question: I won't be able to travel until May. Is visa valid for 6 months? I hope I won't have problems.

Please advice

Thanks and good luck to everyone

No, the visa is valid for a year, but she has up to 6 months to enter the country.

Ya, the visa stamp should have validity dates for 6 months to travel into the USA.

But - check it when yer daughter has it back from the Embassy.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.
