Hi everyone,

Just got back from our interview in Baltimore, MD. We got there really early--12:50, and our interview was at 2pm), and we only had to wait 15 min or so.

Mr. Brown was our interviewer. He was very serious and kind of intimidating throughout the whole thing. He only asked my husband (USC) two questions: my mom and dad's name. For me, it was a bunch of stuff.

Mainly he just went through all the questions on the I-485. He asked my husband's full name a few times, how we met, what happened after we met, how he proposed. There wasn't a proposal, we just talked and decided to get married, so he seemed interested in that story. He asked if I knew that marrying him would allow me to stay. I said I did know that, my husband knew that, and everybody else did, but that wasn't the reason why we got married. He said, "oh ok, I thought you were gonna say no."

He also asked me how much was rent, and I said, and he asked me how much I paid out of that amount. I said nothing because I pay utilities. He told me with what income because I didn't put any job on the forms. I said I didn't have a job, but I babysat here and there and saved money when I was an au pair.

Then he asked me to show anything else I wanted. So he saw the pics of our wedding. I showed him the cards we got from people and he was like:

- are those for me?

- no, they're mine. But you can make a copy.

- did you make any?

- nope.

- so you have to give me the original.

- ah, but they are memories from my wedding, they're special. I don't want to give them away.

- give me a card and I'll give you the green card.

That's when I realized he was giggling and messing with me. First he didn't say it was approved, only that he was going to review and I would get the decision on the mail. Then my husband asked but how will we know, blah blah? And he answered he would approve it. ))

He didn't take my I-94 or stamped my passport, though. I wonder if that's something they do for those who apply for the AP because I didn't. But anyways

Just be honest and try to be calm (I was shaking a little towards the end, but didn't show much). We were out of there before 2pm, so it took like 30min. Thanks everybody for the help!
