Hello Visa Journey Friends,

I am a missionary in the Philippines and work here full time with very few visits back to the States. I met a very special man and we want to consider getting married in the USA where my family can meet him and I can speak to churches to raise funds at the same time.

My question is this: Can I file for a K-1 Visa if I am in the Philippines? Or do I have to go back to the States to do this?

You can file from the philippines...nothing saying you can't. You just have to provide an address that you intend to live (possibly a parent's address). I would use a US address to do all correspondence though so it doesnt take forever to get you NOAs. I think on the form it kind of expects you to have a US address for mailing/residence.
