ok, so now that I know about the I30 the filing procedure can anyone tell me what costs are involved with any filing of the forms?

DS-230 - $404.00

I-864 - $88.00

Then add the cost for the medical exam to that, varies by country.

well there's the immigration paper work fees which was the only thing you listed, but don't forget to factor in other expenses

-getting official documents usually have fee's for certified copies

-making copies of bonafides or photos (a lot of paper and ink depending on how much evidence you want to provide)

-travel expenses (plane flights if you plan to attend the interview with your spouse hotel reservations if you are not nearby the consulate etc.)

I think it's important to count this as part of the imigration costs too so you can save up enough =)
